Thank you! Just let Ella out and it is getting icy here as well. We'll have to keep an eye on it.

The party is for one of neighbors, that we've become good friends. They have twins that are turning 8. They're have a bowling party. We'll all have a lot of fun.

Well we just took the tree down and boxed it for the loft. This is our first artificial tree and I have to say I don't miss having to drag it out of the house to recycle That was always such a task!

I took a few more things down too and I brought the storage boxes down ready for the rest of it. I will finish up during the week.

As I a write this it is hitting me that it's all over but I am in good spirits. Kids and I have already been planning for Halloween. We want to get a Halloween tree

We're still in season, just put on some Christmas music and enjoy to take the edge out of those PCB's.

Halloween trees are so much fun.

Good morning!

It is snowing out! About an inch an hour is coming down. :

Going to turn into rain/freezing rain, but right now it is a Winter Wonderland out there!

I get to putter around the house today ~ yay! But, wait, I have great news: I went up in the attic a few days ago!!! Yes, it only took me over a year and a half, but at least I finally went. Bodes well for a good year, don't you think? :wink:

Those are all on 16mm, and we have no way to transfer them. But holler if you're in our neck of the woods, and maybe we could screen something!

We have a print of the 1935 "Scrooge" that beats any video version, because it was struck in 1936. If MMC ever holds a convention, we'd love to screen some of our rarities--- if the hotel A/V system can still support a film projector.

my brother has a projector and many films of that size, I will ask him what he has. He really enjoys the old ones too.
A film festival would be great to have !

Thank you CAH! Date night was fun, we went to my favorite gluten free Italian restaurant. I had penne ala vodka and a cannoli for dessert, so yummy!
My father has bronchitis, I worry because my parents are getting older now. But he's taking his medicine and he's doing alright. Thank you so much for asking.

will be praying your father is better soon, I worry too when mom gets sick, she will be 84 this month and gets more fragile every year. It is hard to watch them age but also a blessing to have with us for so long.

There was a Hallmark next to the restaurant that we went to so I had to stop in. I picked up a couple of boxes of half off Christmas cards. I found cards with a picture of a vintage Santa Claus on them, I just had to get them. I also picked up this little Yorkie figurine for five bucks. I really have to stop going in that store!

it has been a very difficult night, and we are all exhausted.
But at the same time it was lovely to hear all the wonderful things being said about dorothy. So many people adored her. Not only were there friends and family there, but pretty much everyone that she ever met, she had a magical effect on [emoji173]️truly beautiful.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your night.

We are now expecting snow and ice tonight, and i have a long trip back & forth to tomah tomorrow, then home to eau claire.

Thank you, buddy.
We appreciate it.

She and I were close, and had an extra special bond because of our love for animals. She volunteered at a vet clinic and a shelter in town, and fostered many animals. The entire vet clinic is shutting down tomorrow, with the exception of emergency appointments, so the friends/staff there can attend her funeral [emoji172] Pretty amazing.

Driving home last night , everyone still had their outside stuff up and lit. That is usually the case till after after jan 06th though. By next weekend , it will be unusual to see houses lit... apart from the odd one which is always fun to spot!

Love the lights lasting into January, especially counting them.

I have spent a lot of time tonight on the Fun & Games boards, the wife was watching "Twilight" again. (Thanks, ABCFamily) It was F&G or rub onion juice into my eyes. cheesy

I think I have spent more time here the last 2 days than the last 3 weeks of December combined. It is so good to be home.


Heading for bed in a few, sugarplums will still be dancing in my head.
