Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's a little bit warmer here today where we currently stand at 8 degree's. Unfortunately that is also going to be the high as we are supposed to fall through out the rest of the day until we get back to the -10 range overnight. Boo!!!!!! I have some work on the computer to do today and then have some cleaning to do. I'm feeling pretty good this morning thankfully. Not quite back to 100% but close enough. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

we are also a little warmer today at 7C and boy did it make a difference. A cold front and severe storm is moving in so looks like we are pretty similar to you guys in getting more bad weather. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Hope you get your work done and have a lovely evening and weekend!

Don't you just love leaving work on a Friday! Great that you can have an early finish too. I hope Jim has a safe trip and the funeral passes well, sorry for your loss.

I was planning on baking a cake- problem is I enjoy eating cake more than making them lol. I am going to do it tomorrow instead. Have a good time tonight as well as tomorrow if you make it to your friends birthday.

I found a recipe for cinnamon caramel cookies, that starts with using a white cake mix - there is a Rolo or some other chocolate/caramel candy wrapped in the middle of the dough, then it's rolled in cinnamon/sugar & baked. I think it sounds interesting! Have fun if you bake (and eat) a cake! Have a great weekend!

Elizabeth's braces were tightened a couple days ago, and on the way home one of the brackets popped off her tooth. I took her back to the ortho yesterday to get it put back on. On the way home, it popped off again! Crazy!

Nancy made me go to another furniture store searching for the perfect couch. It ain't at THAT store, though. Whew, those folks are trying to retire early, I guess.

The weather has been weird. We had such a cold November we thought we were in for a doozie from Nov - April again! Then December was so mild...and now we have these extreme cold temps again in January! I guess we'll just wait to see what else mother nature has in mind for us! Have a great day! Thanks sugar - it is actually my MIL's aunt, my hubby's great aunt. She was 99 years old ~ lived a good long life! Sweet lady! She was a sister (a Nun). She has a place in heaven for sure! :smile:







Thanks again sugar! It's too cold for them to go out (I think...lol) & I drive right by there house! Not a biggie! Lordy knows they have helped us out many times! :smile: Not sure yet what I'll make today - or what I'll do with whatever I make. Sure don't need any more food in our house. cheesy

The boiler is just too small for the house, too many extensions. My husbands thinking about converting to gas heat. Hope he decides soon and has it resolved by next winter.

Wow.

We are already to the second Weekend Eve of 2015.

Moving along briskly we are, to the first Milestone of the new year.



Days to the Season: 308

Days to Christmas Day: 350



In fact, that first 'stone arrives ONE WEEK from tomorrow.

Then, a 200's level Season count begins.

(Yes, that soon!)





Well it stayed cold all day yesterday and we remained well below freezing.

Should moderate a bit today, as warmer air slowly re-establishes itself here in the south.

For now, we have started off at a "warm" 31 degrees.





Try to stay comfortable as you have a Fabulous Friday, Friends.

(And you might as well have a Stupendous Start to the Weekend while you're at it!)

Hey guys! De-Christmasing today.. I leave my snowflakes/men/etc up so it's still cozy but aww man! I think Sunday will be the day the tree comes down. We got it the weekend before Thanksgiving and it's still going strong!! Can't say enough how worth it cutting our own tree down is!!

On second thought, maybe just one more week.... Have to see what my hubby says!! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, friends! How are you all doing? We're currently sitting at 19F, with a wind chill of 1F. The kids had another 2 hour delay today. It probably snow 2-3 inches over night.

Not much going on today. I was busy yesterday and since the Epiphany, I haven't had much time to take down my Christmas decorations, so I guess I'll start that today. I'll be leaving anything that is snowman or wintery oriented though until spring time rolls around!

First working Friday of the new year. I'm happy it's here! Looking forward to the first (non-holiday) weekend of the new year. Next week is shaping up to be busy.



We're back into the toasty 20s this morning, but the wind chills are in the lower teens. We're getting a couple hours of snow this morning, just an inch or two. It was just starting as I drove to work, and it'll stop long before it's time to go home, so it'll be safe.



Weekend plans, anyone? I will probably take down my outside lights (one tree's worth this year) if the cold weather permits. And I'm hoping for some sofa-and-video time.
