Decided to be brave and head to the grocery store earlier. I managed to get there without getting frostbite somehow!! I got some good deals too. Lots of stuff marked down because I'm guessing there hasn't been a lot of people crazy enough to go this week. Then I headed to the bank and decided that I should stop and get gas. Oh my!! That wasn't the best decision!! LOL!! I still can't feel half of my face!! The wind was strong enough to cut right through my gloves too. Oh well, at least I won't have to worry about it if we get an ice storm sunday night into monday like they are talking about now. Yuck!!!!!!

I swear I didn't send you our weather!

Hey guys! De-Christmasing today.. I leave my snowflakes/men/etc up so it's still cozy but aww man! I think Sunday will be the day the tree comes down.

I know how you feel, I was sad when our trees came down last weekend.

Y'all probably do this up north, too, but around here some of us throw our old trees in ponds near the edge. It creates a fish habitat...especially those big ol' bass!

I use the branches as kindling in our fire pit and the trunk is used as a border in my veg garden!

Thanks, I can feel my face again!!! It's freezing in here though. My sister and niece's stopped by on their way to the girl scout cookie rally and my niece's just stood there with the door open for forever while my sister yelled at them to get their hats and gloves on. So all of the heat that I had built up is gone.

I love having them lit throughout the house, goes well with our lodge decor.

Thanks, Buddy!!! I'm thinking 3 foot. I'll have to put in my room and I think that is about the size that will go good on top of my nightstand. Or If I can find a taller one with branches only up high. That might work. The one's at Hobby Lobby had a lot of branches going down them.
