It's a beautiful day today, as I noted above, and it's supposed to be in the 70's. WOW! I have to take Jacob to the dentist, so I have to leave work early today. Darn! I might even have to go fishing this afternoon. Rats! :wink:

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be another decent day with a high around 40 degree's. It looks like we might see some snow flurries this afternoon though. I have a few things to do real quick around here this morning and then I will head to the hospital. The doctors usually come around between 9 and 10 am so I want to be there before then. That way I can get a sense if mom will be released today or not. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Wow, Roy Rogers. I use to work next door to one in the 90's. That is the last one I remember seeing in these parts. Good hamburgers.
Isn't Hanover also known for pretzels?

Good roast beef sandwiches and fried chicken, too!
I miss them, too. When we visit Maryland, though, there are SIX of them near where I grew up! You can't get away from them!

And yes, Snyder's of Hanover snacks are headquartered in Hanover, PA. Pretzels have long been associated with Pennsylvania because of its German heritage.

Utz and Synder's of Hanover were all over when I was growing up in Maryland. It surprised and delighted me when they began popping up in Massachusetts! Even the Crab Chips! (which I don't care for, personally)

Be safe out there! Our area is supposed to get 1-3, possibly 3-5. My county is just at the tip of 3-5, which where I live, I'm in at the tip and we always get more, living down in a valley. Have a safe drive to work!

Good Morning, Fellow Mid-Weekers and Milestone Awaiters.

Well, the wait is never very long here, with two sets of interesting markers to go through.
We will take a look at the next one, number two on our chart, in just a moment.

But, first:
Days to the Season: 296
Days to Christmas Day: 338

OK.
We are now moving steadily on towards the ONE QUARTER point in our Season count journey, and stand just 22 days off from that port.
That's right. Three weeks from tomorrow will see us that far along.
(Incredible!)


Ah!
A really nice day yesterday, with our high reaching 67 degrees by the afternoon.
Should be a tad cooler today, then we return to cold figures by the weekend.
(Just to remind us not to get too cocky at this time of the year!)
Right now, we are at 42 degrees here in the capital city.


See you at the 'Pines later, where Carl is busy finalizing plans for this evening's weekly open house.
You can never tell what's going to happen when it comes to that camel.
And that's deliberate, of course, to keep us coming back.

Well they had her swallowing pills in the ER so they knew she could swallow.

They just did a swallow test on her this morning and she passed just fine. So they were going to recommend to the doctor that she could eat now.

I get a thrill finding a good bargain and I love discovering unusual treasures. Our shops her are getting smart about reducing the Christmas stuff. One shop didn't reduce anything this year. Last I was there, they were loading it into their store room to come back out in September most likely!

There is one store around here that won't go lower than 50% off, they have had the same stuff for the last 3 years. It just won't sell and they bring it out every year.

Do you know just how true it is when on the weather channel, they mention about the rain/snow line around the I-95 corridor here in the Mid-Atlantic states, well, here at the office it's about 33 degrees (about 10 miles from I-95) and where I live at, about 40 miles North West of here, it's presently 27 degrees on the main highway, but in the little valley where I live, it's currently 24 degrees.

It's always that 5-6 degree temperature difference from Baltimore County to where I live at in Carroll County. I'll call into work and tell them I'll be late because of a weather related issue and sometimes I think that they think I'm just making it up....

Just sharing my ponderings this morning~

It's the same way here. I'm just a mile out side of the Indianapolis city limit but we can be as much as 10 degrees different from downtown Indy.
