[Holiday]

They are still selling Christmas themed pillows that say: "First Christmas of the Century December 25, 2000"
I honestly wonder if they were there for the first of the century. I should get a picture of it, I laugh every time I see them.

:lol: This reminds me of when we went on vacation to Tennessee & we stayed at this resort - arrived late, late at night - we had frogs in our room & spiders in our bathtub. I slept in a chair that night. Obviously we only stayed 1 night. This was sometime around 1990 - in the morning we went down to the gift shop where they were selling all kinds of "1982 Worlds Fair" items.

Good morning, friends! Going to head to bed here for a nap. Just got EA to school. The snow has started, but there isn't even an inch on the ground yet. I'm hoping to just relax today - sleep, watching movies, and read.

DH is working and the kids are at school, so it's the perfect day for it. It will be just Ella and me!

Good Morning MMC!
I've been busy this morning, trying to get some chores done around the house. I have an appointment in a little while to have my hair cut and colored. I feel like I was just there. These gray hairs seem to be coming in quicker & quicker these days. Not too much going on afterward. I hope to have a relaxing afternoon. I'm still so darn tired. We'll see what happens. Oh I forgot to mention that we decided to name the new kitty Sasha. We were undecided for a few days but Sasha kind of grew on me, sounds like a good kitty name.

Made, continued prayers for your mom. Hope she gets to come home soon.

I have a couple ration books from the family from that era, too! Fascinating stuff. Both sides of my family were farming during WWII, and they told me that to get enough rubber tires for farm equipment and enough sugar for curing meats and canning, they sometimes had to deal with the black market. My mom remembered gathering milkweed pods---manufacturers used the fluffy stuff inside to make filler for insulated jackets for the military.

Hard to imagine, isn't it?

Good morning mmc! It is a chilly but seasonal 30F right now...sunny blue skies, just cleaning the kitchen after breakfast, and I looked at the weather forecast hoping for some snow, which btw looks like it is only on the east coast now! that and the upper Midwest. We are even starting to get back on the 50's as of sunday..that is record territory. Brandi is talking already about looking forward to spring break!lol

Oh well glad today is hump day or pines day and glad to see we are above post #4k now...I hope everyone has a great day. I need to go right this second ...a dog has a roll of paper towels in the living room!! ttyl!!!!!!
