Christmas Countdown - 2015

Hey All- I have not been around for a few days...busy with kids activites! I hope you are all having a good day..we are having yet more snow with freezing rain mixed in but now it is back to all snow.

I am thinking the kids may have a delay tommorrow due to icy conditions since it is getting so cold.

Hope you all enjoyed the Superbowl...my hubby is a BIG Pats fan so he was so happy about it.

I am trying to catch up on posts but hope everyone stays warm and safe. Also and those not feeling well hope you are on the mend soon!

Good afternoon! About to get ready for work, but I wanted to pop in here before I do to say Hi. I just got my weekly TIME magazine in the mail, and I just read that Yankee Candle Co is about to release a line of candles that smell like Girl Scout cookies! Thin mint..no thank you..mint or vanilla flavored candles make me kind of nauseated but I am sure a lot of folks like them..I thought what would they think of next! Also this post makes my 145th post this year, I am already tied with how many posts I made the whole year of 2014. I made my resolution to read and post here 30 minutes a day, and so far for the most part I do at least that much! Well I better get going I will check back in when I get to work..have a great afternoon everyone!

Oh yeah Happy Groundhog Day!! There will be 6 weeks of winter left...I have got to get just one snowstorm this year! Still praying for that to happen..(sorry east coasters I know yall are sick of snow)

Good afternoon an Happy Groundhog Day!

I stayed home after himming and hawing for a half hour to go in this morning. I finally decided to be safe and stay home after watching the weather report and hearing them say it was going to get a lot worse, and they have been right. We have at least 8-9 inches out there, and it is still coming down like crazy.

I finally took down the last two Christmas trees this morning, it looks so empty without them. I can't complain though, I had them up until February. Just have to take down the indoor lights and garland and my Santas, then I will be de-Christmassed.

AMC has had A "Groundhog Day" marathon all day, so I have been enjoying that. One of Bill Murray's best.

I hope you all are having a great day thus far.

I'm glad you were able to stay home. Be careful when you do have to venture out. The freezing rain here just changed back to snow. It's a mess out there.

We bought a "Peppermint Bark" candle last year and that one was very subtle. I liked that one a lot it wasn't overpowering but very calming.

I have to go out and shovel soon, since we didn't set up a plow today. It is coming down harder now than at any point of the day.

Well folks, I have a sick niece here since she won't be going to school tomorrow. So I'm going to sign off of here and try to get her to bed as soon as the game is over. I may not be on tomorrow until late afternoon depending on how she is feeling. Mom is supposed to have a couple of appointments in the mornings so we will see if we can go or not.

What type of wings did you have tonight?

I bought some to make tonight but got too lazy after volunteering to work today. So I will get to make them at a later date.

We had BBQ and hot. Nothing exciting, but they were good!

Good evening,



Long, busy day at work, everyone was panic shopping again.

Getting ready for the storm, we are right on the line of 6-12 and 12-18 inches so it will be a "nice" surprise to see what we get. It will be a last moment decision on risking it on going to work or not, have to see what it looks like and listen to the news help make that final decision. If I do go in it will be for a half day.



My wife made her chili and baked potatoes for dinner, that was yummy.



I did not watch one second of the game tonight, we watched Captain America:Winter Soldier instead. Awesome movie.

Unfortunately I saw that the Patriots won, I guess I won't be able to listen to sports talk radio for a little while, I just can't stand to hear everyone's love fest for Belichick. It is gonna be bad around here for a little bit until this win subsides.

At least I have my Bruins.



I am heading to bed, got to get up to watch the weather bright and early.

Merry morning all,

I couldn't get on to MMC last night. Hope you all enjoyed the game.

My youngest and my husband are still very unwell, recovery seems very slow.I didn't feel all that great yesterday either. Exhaustion really caught up with me too on top of that.

Anyway, Hope everyone is doing good! It is -5C here and it looks set to be a very very cold February!!

Stacey, thank you so much for posting those commercials! I am so disappointed I couldn't be here last night!!

Good Morning MMC!!!
it is a cold and stormy morning here, school buses cancelled, roads closed, snow falling and then blowing around. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I don't have to be into work until 1pm so most of the falling snow will be past by then, just have to contend with it blowing around making it hard to see.

For now I am warm and snug at home enjoy a mug of hot tea
