Bradmac,

Shut Up!! Are you serious??? A sporting clays team at a school? That's great!

I don't usually post about this because guns are a touchy subject these days and I'm not looking to upset anyone who feels strongly about it, but my son Noah, has been in sporting clays since he was 13. He competed on a whim for a fund raiser event being held by my sister in law's church for their men's outdoors group. I took him to the local range to practice the day before as he'd never done it before and he won the event. Like your son, just a natural shot.

At that event there were NSCA members who competed and asked if Noah was a member and had he competed in that. Uh no... what is that?

Sporting clays is headed by the NSCA and they organized the PSC which now airs on NBC sports. This year will be it's 2nd official year.

Noah started competing and won Florida state Sub jr (age division) in 2011, 2012, then moved up to Jrs, and won 2013. 2014 he came in 2nd behind one of his good friends by one clay. LOL In 2013 he won the Florida men's open Master's as well and was the Jr All-State. In 2014 in made the All-American team which is 15 people across the US and is an alternate for the pro-tour. He made the US Krieghoff team as well and is a pro competitor for both Mueller Choke tubes team and Krieghoff. He has a number of scholarship offers across the US from SWAT departments of police and sheriff's offices as well as the Marines. He's 18.

The kids involved in this sport are exceptional. Kind, considerate, hard working, rational, grounded and the majority are very respectful. Not only do the have a great time, terrific comradery, and support each other in a highly competitive environment, there are amazing college opportunities out there as well if that's an interest.

Too cool if your son does get involved!! :-D

Wow, Noah really took the sport to the top of the ladder! Congrats to him!

We're big "shotgunners" in my family, so I was really pleased to hear that the school was planning to start competing in Sporting Clays. I wish they had started it sooner, Jacob is 17 now, but it should be fun, at least!

Good morning mmc! getting ready to head out the door to go see my brother in the hospital and hopefully find out some info! I would be lying if I said I was not worried, even though I know it will not do any good! So I will be back here tonight hopefully with news of some sort, I think the waiting and not knowing is worse than knowing something, even if it's bad at least then you can deal with it, okay thanks for the prayers and I will talk to you all tonight! Have a great Friday!
Will be keeping your family in prayer!

That's cool!!!! I have a cousin that was the state champ in PA with an AR15 and placed second in nationals.

Praying hard for all of you, Dawg. Fingers crossed.

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday!! I'm so looking forward to the weekend, with no plans!!! That's unusual ~ but it's kind of nice since I'll be getting up early, early Monday morning to take Mom to the hospital for Dads surgery. My Dad has to go even earlier (4am) but I'm going to bring mom later. My sis is taking Dad. Hopefully all goes extra well & then it will be time to hammer down & get prepared for vacation!!!

I had stitch & 8itch at our house last night. It got late, but I finished my tree skirt! Yay! I'll post a pic after I take one! Gracie stole the show last night - aka...stole our yarn! The little thief! She was being her normal ornery self!!!

Do you think she likes playing in the snow??

I made a new recipe for the girls last night - Skinny Buffalo Chicken Bites. They were quite tasty. It made around 30 chicken balls, so I brought 1/2 of the to work this morning & they are gone. 3 of the guys asked for the recipe! cheesy So I'll share here too:

Enjoy your quiet weekend, Holiday!!!! Gracie looks like she was having fun last night!! The chicken balls sound yummy!!!

Hope you have a great weekend too, Holiday!!!!!!

My niece's and their homework is going to be the death of me!!!

My spouse and I know the feeling. Our son has a learning disability that makes it difficult for him to get the formed thought down on paper. When he had homework, we had homework. Way too many sessions that ended around 10:30 PM...Don't miss those days a bit.

Well the niece's are gone. Time to clean up the mess and disinfect everything!!!

Good Morning, Weekend Eve Arrivers.

Yep. It's here once again.

This has also arrived:
Days to the Season: 280
Days to Christmas Day: 322

And not only that, we are now UNDER a week away from the 1/4 Season Milestone marker.
(My Goodness!)

It wasn't too cold yesterday (50's) but felt cold owing to the wind and minimal sun.
(Come on! Can't we get a warm day?)
Well, maybe Saturday. Today is supposed to be more of the same.
For now, we have commenced this day before the weekend at a chattery 22 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends!

Thanks, Crown! Hope you're having a great day!

The morning is starting off on a good foot. Today is doughnut Friday here at the office and it was my turn to buy, so I picked 2 dozen colossal doughnuts from Shoppers supermarket.

Which, if your not familiar with this chain, but they make some of the best and biggest doughnuts that I have ever heard of in my life... Dunkin Doughnuts couldn't touch them with a speck of powered sugar...

Nothing like the feel of caffeine and sugar flowing thru your system, sooo early in the morning... productivity this morning is predicted to be up! This afternoon there may be a crash forthcoming.......

I bet the office was loving you today! Hope you're having a great day, Xmastidings!

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

Elizabeth and Lulu are feeling better today, and Nancy didn't leave me for Harry Connick, Jr., so things are pretty good today!

It's sunny and chilly this morning, just as I like it. It's supposed to be up to 70° this weekend...nice!

We got a notice that the school is starting a sporting clays team. I hope Jacob wants to tryout! He's one of the best natural shots I've seen, and I think he'd have a good "shot" at making the team. I might have to practice with him...just to make sure he's putting the work in.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Glad to hear Elizabeth and LuLu are feeling better! Enjoy the warm up!!!

Good morning!
Tapatalk was giving me problems again last night so I wasn't able to check in. I hope I didn't miss anything important. Everyone is off to work & school so I'm just relaxing for a few minutes with a cup of coffee. I don't have too much planned for today, just a couple of quick errands and daily chores. I'll also be working on a menu plan & grocery list. I wish I didn't have to go anywhere, it's freezing out there and I'm still not back to feeling 100%. I have a cough that's been lingering. My mother is coming over for a visit later this afternoon so I'm looking forward to that. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day.
Hugs and prayers ~

Hope you soon are to 100%! Hope the visit today with your mom was nice!

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to warmer here today thankfully with a high of 37!!!! Not to much going on here today. My niece's just got up. They slept from 9 last night to 9:30 this morning. I need to load them up with benadryl more often. LOL!!! So I have to get them to eat something now so we can battle over taking their meds. Then I need to run to the store to get them more kleenex since they have went through the 2 boxes I had here this week. I need to pick up a few other basic's as well but will probably do my big shopping trip tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope your nieces are starting to feel a little better - glad to hear they were able to get a good nights rest! Hope you're having a great day too!

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, hot sauce and cream cheese; mix well. Stir in cheddar cheese and green onions and set aside. Using 3 separate bowls, set out the flour, eggs and crushed cereal. Scoop out chicken mixture and make 1 1/2-inch balls, first rolling in flour, then dipping in egg and last coating with cereal. Repeat this until you have about 30 balls. Place balls on sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden. Serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing and enjoy!
