I am heading out to work in a few, watching some Christmas music videos that I recorded on Christmas Day from VH1. I had 5 hours worth of videos, but 3 hours were erased during the DVR erasegate that happened here last month. Neither boy has admitted taking part of that yet. cheesy

I should probably get my butt moving, got to let Turtle out before I head out.

Good evening,

Another busy evening, the boys had a Jump Rope for Heart event at the school tonight. So they were able to run around and burn some energy after being cooped up from all the snow.

I made reservations at a new Mexican restaurant for my wife and I on Valentine's day. We have been wanting to try it, so now we are going if the snow holds off.

Back to work tomorrow, evening shift, don't really feel like going like usual.

Good morning from frigid Wisconsin everyone!
I have a root canal today...it's been 6 months of dental work after years of TMJ so I am feeling a little nervous today, but I know that this is minor stuff compared to some of the things going on for others on our prayer requests.
I hope everyone has a really nice day- thinking of you all!

Well, it's turned cold again. Rainy a good bit of the day yesterday as well.
It should be drier today and perhaps a bit warmer.
We have started off at 32 degrees here in central NC.

Carl wished to announce that this will be the Shispering Pines special Valentines open house this evening.
Red-frosted fired twinkies will be served (in the shape of hearts, of course) with special entertainment. I have heard that one number will be a re-creation of the scene from the Holiday Inn movie where Fred Astaire and his partner dance through the giant Valentine.

Good morning everyone! It's a balmy 35F right now, I have not looked yet this morning but as of yesterday still no snow on the horizon, but I still have my fingers crossed. After reading crowns update for today on the countdown it comforts me to know we are way under 300 on days to the season. I just got up to get Brandi off and feed the boys and dogs, now I think all of us boys and dogs are going to go back to finish our naps off! Have a great morning everyone!

I don't have to much going on today. Just need to run to the store for a few things and then it's back home to do my normal daily chores. Exciting stuff. I have been dealing with chronic allergies all week long. It has warmed up quite a bit here and I have been trying to do some work in the yard but the air is causing too many issues. My son and I have been building our Russian tortoise an outdoor enclosure and he sure does love it. We have some more work to do on it, even going to plant an edible garden for him.

I haven't decided if I'm going in or not, feeling pretty rough. Half the office was out yesterday. I think that the long hours and stress have finally taken over. May take the afternoon off and stay home & rest. Afraid I'll get worse if I keep pushing it.

Can you post pics of him enjoying it, when finished? He Sounds like such a sweetie.

I never could imagine a tortoise being sweet but he really is! We let Alvin run around the house with the cats and dogs quite a bit. One day he was out running around while my son was here at the house and I had gone to the store. I came home sat some groceries down, went back to the car to get more, came back in and there was Alvin "running" toward the door along with the dogs greeting me. He had his head stretched up real high looking at me. (Have I told this story before??? It's been so long since I been on here I don't remember but it happened recently!)

I will get some pictures posted when we finish it.

I don't think we are supposed to get much.

My oldest sis spent that night at mom/dads last night & she said Dad did really good. She thinks someone should spend the night again tonight just so Mom doesn't have to get up in the middle of the night with him. So that will probably be me! 2 of my sisters have already stayed & my other sis is in Florida, so I guess it's my turn! (I don't mind!) :smile: Could be interesting - it's been a lot of years since I spent the night in that house. cheesy
