We have decided to stay in today and go hiking tomorrow. The fire place feels too warm to get out today! It is suppose to snow again tomorrow 2 to 4 inches but we will see! We are going home Thursday so I only have to work Friday! It does not get much better than that!

Christmasstar, I hope you get to feeling better soon!

Snowflake, still enjoying the Christmas pictures you post!

Me too!!! When you first think of Home Alone you think of a movie full of goofiness but the ending brings me to tears. Same with, Christmas with the Kranks, I get choked up every time at the end of the movie.

We went to the 9/11 Memorial the first year it opened, the museum was not opened at the time. We got very emotional too! When we were in New York this past December we wanted to go to the museum but just ran out of time. I hope you are enjoying yourself!

This was the first year I followed the Apprentice. Several episodes back I had predicted a showdown between Geraldo and Leeza with Leeza winning - yes, she won! (Not sure if someone else already answered this question or not).

Enjoy the mountain climbing!!!

Thanks, CAH!
Glad you enjoy them!

Exactly! I need to remind myself to take care. I guess it's good my job won't let me be there sick or I would try to come in anyway! (I have done it before only to have them send me home)! Lol!

That is wonderful [emoji169]

You need to work with me at my job. My bosses have great compassion for their workers. I just love them all to pieces!!! The bonus side of it, you get to work with animals and customers bringing all their dogs in. =)

That would be awesome!

The antibiotics didn't help Lulu, so the vet did an x-ray this morning and found some large bladder stones. She has to have surgery tomorrow.

I'd appreciate prayers for Lulu's safe surgery & recovery.

Thanks!

Good afternoon gang ... woke up at 5 am to phone call saying the schools were closed. Kids and I got a snow day while the hubby had to go to work.

Got a pot of venison stew going in the crock pot and going to make cookies with the kids this afternoon. The snow is light and powdery so no making snowmen or having a snowball fight. Really wish we had this back at Christmas time though. Maybe it would have felt more like Christmas. Was so disorganized and behind on shopping and decorating it just didn't feel like Christmas.

Trying to stay a head of the things this year already got a few gifts for the kids and have started working on some personalized gifts. Goal is to be done shopping for wrap-able gifts by Dec 1st and start my wrapping the 1st weekend on Nov. Have several gifts figure out, just need to budget for those.

I keep telling my self I need to stop in here every day but some days there is just not enough hours in the day. Another goal to keep working at

Hope everyone has a great day and is staying warm.

I always enjoyed snow days with my kids!
Hope you find all those special gifts this year.

Poor baby! Will be praying. Keep us posted!

I have to mention---today's the day before Ash Wednesday. Where I grew up, that was the day for buying and eating kinklings, a pastry that I really, really miss. It's practically unknown anywhere else.

Happy Kinkling Day, wherever you are!

I get what you mean about not feeling like Christmas not that it didn't for us but wasn't quite the same. My husband and I had a wonderful Christmas but it felt like we missed out on some little things that we normally do every December. It is because we took off out of town the day after Thanksgiving for 2 weeks in Maryland and New York City. Wonderful Christmasy vacation for sure but the fact that Thanksgiving felt way too rushed was part 1 of our usual Christmas festivities. I felt as though we were rushing through Thanksgiving (one of my favorite days of the year), get the house cleaned up, finish packing and be up by 4 am the next morning. We usually have big Christmas plans for 2 straight days after Thanksgiving but missed out on that. Then we get back from being gone 2 weeks and tried to cram in as much hometown activities that we could before Christmas Day arrived, also just getting ready for the day - wrapping, cooking and more. Not complaining about the vacation, what a luxury and got to see the tree at the Rockefeller Center, just rather not be gone that long next time around. I also missed my Christmas tree and my own decorations! We also have Christmas outings with the grandkids every year and felt very sad that we never got to do that this past Christmas because things were just a bit too rushed by the time we came home.

Well, my hubby put in his week vacation for December 2015 already and we will stay home and take in the festivities and make sure we have our Christmas outings with the grandkids! If we do go out of town it will be an overnight or 2 day trip somewhere close by. I am already excited and looking forward to it!

Christmas 2014 was great and wonderful memories were made but we both agreed we just don't want to be gone that long in December again.

Just like my favorite Perry Como Christmas song, "There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays"!!!

Congrats on getting some gifts bought already!

It doesn't look like we are going to get any snow after all - haven't seen any here all winter. Boooo!!! Mother Nature needs to get her priorities straight! Balance the snow out all over, not slam the north with too much and leave us dry!!! Gimme some snow!:give:

It looks like Wayne and I just keep tossing a cold back and forth. Now Wayne woke up this morning sniffly and coughing. He is not real bad off but I pray it don't get worse!

Hope Wayne feels better soon!
And hope you get snow!!! [emoji300]️[emoji301]️

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! Laissez les bons temps rouler! It's going to be a chilly fat tuesday here as we currently stand at 8 degree's with the snow flurries already starting. Since the next couple of days are going to be so frigid, I should really run a few errands today. Then it will be back home to make my jambalaya and enjoy my king cake. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Stay warm, and have fun!!

Xx

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I delivered our sofa & loveseat to my cousin and her husband yesterday afternoon. Our new furniture won't arrive until tomorrow, but rain was predicted for today, so I had to make the move early. I sat on the family room floor for about 30 minutes last night, then finally gave up and watched TV in the bedroom. I'm too old to sit on the floor; my old back won't take it!

Jim is determined to crank the Camaro this week, even though we don't have a windshield, or exhaust, or any of the interior done...or even tires! LOL He was working on it late last night, but I couldn't stay to help. I plan to record the first crank and post it on Youtube, to save it for posterity.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good afternoon, Brad!
Hope you're having a fabulous day!
