Good morning MMC!! Happy Monday! I'm jumping in to wish you all a good day before catching up on what I missed over the weekend! Hopefully I'll have a chance to catch up!

My hubby was home sick all weekend - and still home today! Flu! I'm trying to convince myself that I am not coming down with it! Wish me luck! I didn't go see Dad all weekend b/c I don't want to bring any icky's there!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day! We went to my mom's for lunch (wonderful, as usual!), and I was walking around the backyard trying to decide if I was going fishing or shooting my 9mm, when the ground suddenly got squishy. There was a water leak somewhere underground.

The ground was saturated, so I couldn't easily locate the leak. I dug for almost three hours on a hole that wound up 6 ft. wide and 3 ft. deep, but I found it! I was barefoot with my jeans rolled up, and muddy from top to bottom, but I got a cap on it. Thank goodness my brother had a sump pump. That thing saved the day. I have to go back today with some couplings to re-connect everything, then fill the hole in.

So much for my lazy afternoon! LOL

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high of 48 degree's and the sun shining. It's wonderful. I don't have to much going on today. I should go to Target and pick up mom's meds but she still has one more day's worth. So i can do it tomorrow. That way I can just take it easy today and get some stuff done around here. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Good morning, everyone!

I awoke this morning quite energized. Now, it seems as if that energy has been drained. I am tired. I like Daylight Savings, but that hour made it a little difficult to sleep last night. I guess I shouldn't complain too much, at least I am working today.

Actually, it should be a pretty exciting week, overall. My dad is flying into town this afternoon. On Thursday, he, Kim and I are flying to Puerto Plata, Puerto Rico, for about a week. After my grandmother passed away last year, my dad said he wanted to take Kim and I as well as my brother and his wife (separately) to somewhere in the Caribbean. After this long winter, I think this vacation could not have come at a better time! The only real unfortunate part is that I will be missing two possible days of work... The next week is Spring/March break. As long as I get three days this week, I will be happy!

The weekend was a nice, quiet one. Really, it was perfect to get plenty of rest since the next little bit should be plenty of fun! Perhaps the best news of the weekend came after the Packers re-signed Randall Cobb. I was very worried that they would lose him. Seeing #18 play for the Dolphins, 49ers, Chiefs, Jaguars, or even Bears, would have been a little difficult at this early part in his career.

Well, I hope everyone is ready for their workweek! We're so close to our next milestone. I really hope I have the opportunity to join in on the celebration from the beautiful beaches of Puerto Rico! Have a great Monday, everyone!

Good Morning .... Temps are warming up, hit 50 yesterday and suppose to reach 55 today. Waiting for the temps to reach 60 then I will open some windows and start airing out the house.

I have been slowing updating my Christmas Notebook with more gift ideas including some homemade gifts.

Well got to run and take my mom on some errands.

Grandmother update: She has been living with my parents for a week now. The stress from it may kill my parents before my grandmother passes on. The doctors still can't believe she got well enough to go home.

My uncle decided he wanted to take her back home around 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. They brought her back around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday! They kept calling my parents during the day because my grandmother kept trying to walk around and wouldn't be still & they didn't know what to do with her.

I want to help, but I don't know what I can do. I work all day & have a family of my own to keep up with at night & on weekends. I really don't have a good bedside manner & would probably just get frustrated with her. I could go over and clean house & do laundry for them, but I'm not much of a cook. My aunts & cousins come to my parents house every night, as many as 10 people at a time sometimes. I think it might be better if I just stay away and out of the chaos.

I can't get excited for our Disney trip because Mom is supposed to go, but with my grandmother, we don't know if she can. The trip is paid for so somebody will be going. We will be disappointed if she can't, but we can't control whats happening right now.

Just keep us all in your thoughts and prayers. We've been through this before with my maternal grandmother, but there was money for round-the-clock caretakers to come in & care for her. We are not afforded that blessing with my paternal grandmother.

On a brighter note: DD stated emphatically yesterday that she was ready to wear shorts again & that she wanted winter to be over. She only wanted a little snow for Christmas! I'm just looking forward to three weekends from now to be able to camp for a couple of nights close to home to get away from everything!

Good Morning all, well after sleeping a good solid 10 hours last night, I was up and abound early this morning. So, off to the office I went, figure I would get in early, while no one is here, get things done and then get out of here early! At least right now, that sounds good/ like a plan for the moment...

Don't plan on a lot today, just starting a new project, and with that, should be (hopefully should be), a low key day.....

I'm having my coffee, trying to relax. The kittens are tearing the house up this morning. They sound like a couple of horses galloping through the house. Not too much going on here today. So happy there are no appointments. Just a typical day of errands and chores. It's going to be sunny again today with temperatures in the mid 40's. Maybe I'll head out for a walk this afternoon, that would be much better than being on the treadmill staring at the wall. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!
