I don't know what's a matter with me, just don't feel like going into the office with nothing to do, and sit there staring at the computer for 8 hours, pretending like I actually have something to do...

I'd rather stay at home, get paid (of course I'm using my sick time), and get a lot of things done around the house here. See where I work, if you leave the company, they pay you for all your accrued vacation time that you have, but the sick time, it's a use it or loose it thing. So, I try to us that pot of days off than dip into the vacation pot, unless I really decide to go on a vacation.....

Come and re-do the suspended ceiling in our basement! We'll show you a movie afterward! cheesy

Sounds like a plan to me!!!! And I'll have some great company as well!!!!

DH's aunt passed away last night. There were too many complications after the surgery for her to recover. Pray for the family please. DD took it better than I thought she would. DH is holding it together for her but having a hard time. Our house will be the gathering place for visitors, so we'll be busy through the first of next week.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Whitney.
Lots of love & prayers are on the way. God bless.

I agree ... don't I recall seeing you mention some 80+-hour weeks? You've earned a little "slack" time. Enjoy it!

Ha-ha...You're right! You have a very good memory my dear!

The most I have ever put in, in one week, I believe it was 103 hours...Yes, that is correct, in one work week.... Spent the night there, like 2-3 nights in a row, no shower, no nothing....Slept one night on 3 chairs put together, slept another night, in a back room on top of a bunch of old rolled up drawings...but, in the end, we got the work all done and out the door in time....

Wow ... I wouldn't be able to take that. Well done!

... like visiting the outdoor facilities in a snowstorm ...

That's why you took a buddy along with you, to warm up the seat for you and to have some company while looking thru the Sears- Roebuck catalog!!!:lol::lol:

Woo Hoo!!!

Good Morning!

I have a confession, I'm a slacker again...I woke up and said to myself fudge it, I'm staying home again today! Take a 4 day weekend... I'mmmmm-a-bad-boy!

I don't know what's a matter with me, just don't feel like going into the office with nothing to do, and sit there staring at the computer for 8 hours, pretending like I actually have something to do...

So, I try to us that pot of days off than dip into the vacation pot, unless I really decide to go on a vacation.....

I'm going to go downstairs in the basement again today and do what I like to do...build things....

ENJOY your long weekend!!! Good luck in the basement!!

No it is not!!!! Darn right cold here this morning. I have the furnace on and the fireplace on... I'm sitting here on the couch, with a crocheted blanket draped around my legs and a hot cup of coffee in my hands (when I'm not typing that is...) :cold:

Sounds pretty wonderful!

Happy Friday, Holiday!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!!

Happy Friday made! Same to you! Have a wonderful weekend - I hope work goes well & the wolves aren't too mean!!!

Good morning to all ... it's partly sunny, cold, and windy. Doggone it, April has short-changed us this year. The calendar owes us some warm, sunny days.

I'm glad it's Friday, but most of our weekend is spoken for, so I may not get my full measure of sofa time. Maybe next weekend for ol' lazybones!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! We are off to another chilly start here in central Indy with a temp of 33 degree's. The sun is out though and we should hit 60 degree's this afternoon!!! Then rain moves in for tomorrow. I'll be heading to work here shortly for a mind numbing day of computer training. I don't think it will be that hard, just long and boring. Hopefully I can stay awake. I'm definitely downing some caffeine right now with breakfast. LOL!!!! I'll try to check in on lunch today. Just depends how long it takes me to drive to my aunts house. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Again - good luck today! Hope it goes well & I hope they feed you coffee!!!

Happy Friday, Weekend Watchers!

We're only one workday away from the final weekend of April. Doesn't that sound crazy?! Yes, at this time next week, we will be ushering in the month of May. Let's just hope that temperatures seem more like May rather than March. Mother Nature has been fooling many of us fairly well over the past week, hasn't she?

One thing that contains no fooling is the countdown. Let's have those magical numbers bring a smile to our face.

Days to the Season: 203
Days to Christmas Day: 245

It looks like Crown will have a grand time with the countdown upon his return tomorrow (Saturday) evening. It's great that he will return for our back-to-back milestones. It doesn't happen often throughout the year, but it does, indeed, cause for a special celebration.

Yes, we are now less than half a week away from the 200 Days to the Christmas Season marker. And, more closely, we are only two days away from the 1/3 to Christmas Day milestone. It will be a Special Sunday!

I tried to get the weather to turn around yesterday, but I see some dark clouds on the horizon of Canada's Capital. I'm really hoping they don't contain any snow! Well, the bell should be ringing in about 20 minutes. I only have a half day today, but it is certainly better than no day.

Let's start the countdown to the end of the workweek. Have a Fantastic Friday, everyone!

I can't believe it's the last weekend in April....and we have frost this morning!! :o Have a great day Brent. Thanks for keeping the countdown going! xx

Good morning!
Happy Friday!
Just had the dogs in the backyard, it's chilly out there. Temperatures are only in the 30's this morning. Not too much planned for today, typical day of errands and chores. I also need to work on a grocery list. I'm going to try and sit down with my Dreambook today and start my wish list. I've flipped through it but I still haven't looked through the entire book yet. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

It is chilly!! You have a wonderful day too HMG!

Lol! I came straight home after work to get changed. I've never left the house in PJ's before, it felt so strange. I was praying that I wouldn't get in to an accident to and from the school.
I'm going to call my mother soon to see how she's feeling. I'm sure she's going to be sore today. Sorry to hear about your neighbor!
The Islanders play again tomorrow night, they'll be fighting for their life!
Hope you have a great day too!!!

Whew! Glad to see you didn't forget to change out of your jammies before running errands! We use to bowl in a "bowling bash" (all women) & the theme 2 years was pajama party. That was so fun going out in PJ's! cheesy Good luck to the Islanders tomorrow night! Continued prayers your Mom is ok!!

Oh Whitney, I'm so sorry to hear! Sending hugs, thoughts & prayers. So sad!

Good morning MerryCarey! Chilly here this morning too but at least the sun is shining! We are supposed to get close to 60º later, I think! xx Sorry you won't get to relax much this weekend, but I hope you have a good one!!

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday! YAY!!!

Busy - fun - not so fun - weekend ahead for us! My neighbor just texted saying she wants to have a Funday Friday today! She thinks we can do 59º & sunshine! cheesy Then I'll be heading to the lake! Tomorrow afternoon we have my Dads burial (ashes) & then there is mass for him at 5:00. After that we will be heading to my brothers to make homemade pizza's on the grill. I'm making a Frisch's Big Boy Pizza. Last night I browned the burger, sliced the pickles, & measured out the ingredients for it that I could do ahead of time. I also made a cheese ball I figured I can get that out at the lake &/or bring to my brothers. Now I guess I could get it out for Funday Friday too! Sunday we have our cousins wife's viewing. That is from 1-6, so hopefully we can get there right away at 1:00 & then have the rest of the afternoon to do something a little more fun. The weather is supposed to be yucky tomorrow - 100% chance of rain & a high of 49º! Good thing the burial shouldn't take long! Sunday is supposed to be pretty nice - kinda like today.

Hope you all have a nice weekend planned! Have a good FRIDAY!
