Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Mom's spaghetti was a wonderful as ever yesterday! After lunch, my brother and I rode through the woods in his 4WD Kawasaki Mule. Although I live in the south, I'm not necessarily a redneck, but I do like some 4-wheel driving now and then. :wink:

We went back to see Nancy's dad after he got home from a weekend at the coast. We boiled some fresh peanuts and they were great!

She found a Christmas store and went in with out me having to drag her in! I wore her down at last !!!!

Hello everyone, hope your all having a pleasant night. We just got in from a trip to BJ's to stock up on some bulk items that we let get low prior to us going on vacation. We are actually sitting here in the family room at the moment, lights off, and watching the lightning bugs thru the windows. It's the first time we seen them this year. I like to look at them....

Been Crushed at work, have an injured grandfather been taking care of, got multiple projects going on around the house, including a major plumbing job that I am doing myself in the basement, running the sanitary, vent and domestic water piping...and just doing the Dad, hubby regular stuff...

Looking forward to this weekend, Fathers Day, planning to head down to my in-laws, just have burgers and dogs on the grill (I requested a simple menu) and jump in their pool for the first time this year.

Well I'm going to just mosey on over and help myself to some vanilla ice cream and some banana walnut pound cake, and turn on the cooking channel for a little while.

Good evening,

A long day, I am absolutely bushed. One more day until my day off. My exciting news is that my schedule is changing, I will be going in earlier, and of course getting out earlier. No more nights, except for inventories, once a month. The biggest news is I am guaranteed at least one weekend off a month, it is about time, I have been fighting for that for 4 years now. No more going 3 months without back to back days off. Wooohoo!

I am heading to the land of Nod.

Good morning, everyone!

My teaching year is complete. It was a very fun and exciting year. I am actually already looking forward to September. Until then, there is a Summer to enjoy! Well, somewhat.

I start back at Passport Canada on Monday. For the past two summers, I have sworn that I would not return to processing passports, but the opportunity of guaranteed work for at least two months and decent pay is far too tempting to pass up.

The only good part about going back next week is that there is a Quebec holiday on Wednesday, so I will get paid for a day I don't work. Coincidentally, it also happens to be the Graduation at Russell. It will be my first time attending a graduation as a teach. I am excited to see how it goes and all the departing Grade 12s one last time.

Kim's nephews are here for a bit. I should probably hangout with them. Have a great Saturday, everyone. Enjoy your last day of Spring!!

I'm getting excited for the 4th as well! The fireworks, not so much. They scare the daylights out of Maggie and the cats. I love watching them on tv though! Trying to figure out what will be on the menu this year. Definitely burgers, hot dogs & chicken since they're favorites here, but I always like to come up with something new to cook as well.

Hi there,
Kandice has another slight injury....she had pains yesterday in Hockeypractise....her coach is becoming a physical therapist...but wasn t sure...he asked his daddy to Look at it today. The man has been a physical therapist for 30 years already....he made Kandice do several movements and Tell her what she feels...then she had to lay down and examined her....his result....she strained the adductors on her left leg.....a typical Soccer and also Field Hockey injury...nothing serious...but painfull

Happy Father's Day. ..hope you all have a great day. It is raining here now but I think it is supposed to clear up in the afternoon so we may be able to get in a little cookout!

It's gray and rainy here, but we didn't have any particular plans, so that's all right. I have to go out later to get a couple of birthday cards, but I'm in no hurry.

Thank you again for all the prayers for Gloria. We heard in an email from her that she is still in a wheelchair for the time being, and they are predicting about a month more of rehab to get her on her feet again. She says the hospital is a beautiful place, but she doesn't like being among "all the old people." God bless her, she's 89 and doesn't count herself as one of the old people! That made me smile and begin to feel that she may come out of this all right. She IS young at heart---she is usually more knowledgable about current TV shows and movies than we are!

Gosh, I feel lazy today. I may indulge that for a little while before I have to go out.

That's great about Gloria! Continued prayers for her. That sounds like something my Mom/Dad would say! :lol:

It's been a scorcher of a weekend, hitting a 100°F every day. I opened Bernie's store yesterday morning so he could go fishing at the coast. I think I got the better end of the deal LOL. I don't think I'd want to be sitting in a boat on the ocean in this heat!

I went by Jim's shop yesterday afternoon to work on the Camaro. After a couple hours of sweat & gnats, I went home, took a shower and watched Netflix for the rest of the day. Whew!

We just got home from church, changing clothes. Mom has made spaghetti for lunch for me, and I can't wait! She make the best spaghetti EVER!

Hello and a very happy Sunday to one and all especially all the Dads, I hope you are enjoying your day! I took my parents out for fathers day which was nice, however it's the seventh night in a row I've been out for dinner, between work events and family events and I'm now officially sick of eating. Tonight will consist of sitting down watching TV and possibly dozing off. Enjoy what's left of the weekend folks.

Kids surprised me with some nice stuff and a BBQ to celebrate fathers day, or as they said, mothers day part 2

We had quite a busy day, I was taken out for lunch to Uno's by my wife and boys. We were at the mall and got a new pair of sunglasses and a few other things we needed around the house. For dessert, we went to Cold Stone Creamery, we haven't been there in about a decade. They have such good ice cream.
I head back to work in the A.M.

Merry Morning all,

Well I never intend to be away from here for so long but it somehow happened! I really hope everyone is doing well. I can imagine all that I have missed!

Things are fine, I'm busy with work and the kids. My mum is also coming to visit next week. She didn't make it over last year so it's been two years since I saw her. To make up for it she will be staying with us for a long time - 2 months !!

This week will be busy getting things ready. Isaac is ready for a bigger bed so we have decided to get them bunk beds as they have been asking.

We had a second winter and temps are only starting to warm up. It's been such a long cold wet winter that I will be honest and say that I am in no rush for next winter. It's depressing to think that come October it will be freezing again - we need some sun and warmth before we can welcome winter again!!!

Hope I can make it back soon. In the mean time prayers and thoughts are with you all!
