It puts us in such a panic, doesn't it? The worse experience for us with after O'Malley's bad catnip experience - he was one tripping cat, he never was quite his old self again after that, he's still spooked by shadows. At that time, my husband and I took turns staying with him and speaking softly reminding him that we were there as he caved under the loveseat and the guest bed for a few days. The Vet said they could give him a tranquilizer if it continued, but my husband didn't want to give him more drugs on top of the catnip if he didn't need it. It took him 3 days before he would come out of hiding for several hours at a time. I set up a spot on the sofa at night for myself, but I've never slept on the floor with him. He's very possessive of his space and he owns the carpet so I can't sleep there. Glad your baby is okay.

Oh my goodness, that is scary. I don't buy catnip, my four are crazy enough without it.

Gonne hit the shower and get out and about; it's a beautiful sunny day and I don't think I should spend it indoors.
Might go to the community picnic for Seapie and baked beans tonight, haven't made up my mind yet.

Enjoy yourselves my merry chums! Remember to stretch your legs and take a look around at some of the other merry threads on these festive pages!!!

Have a wonderful day! :)

Hi everyone!
It's been so long since I've been on here. I actually had a random dream about this site the other day.
I'm entering my senior year of college! I think I joined this site in the 7th or 8th grade.. I can't believe how old I'm getting! But yeah, senior year! Still have 4-5 years to go after this though, as I want to go to grad school and pursue a Psy. D. I hope everyone is doing very well!!

Good Morning MMC !

Lovely morning here, already was out for a walk, fed the mosquitoes.
Church in a couple of hours and when I get home have to finish decorating this cake.
Until then I am going to just relax enjoying the coolness of the morning.

Around here they're called skeeters.

Skunks really enjoy honey and are more of a nuisance to bees than bears because they can burrow under the electric fencing to get at the man-made hives. I'm sure I could dig up a few earthworms; they eat those too or crack open a spiders nest - maybe not. It wound up fairly quiet around 10:30.
I'm glad it quieted down so you didn't have to go the "chemical warfare" route!

Thanks for the info on the store. I plan to check it out real soon!

I starting building a Christmas playlist on Spotify. I am up to over 8 hours of music - 192 songs and still building the list.
I think last year I had over 1,000 songs on iTunes alone, and I'll have more this year, especially after I rip more CDs and digitize more LPs and cassettes. Spotify sounds intriguing, but I'd better stick with one huge pool of music at a time! I know you'll run into RJD on Spotify. I don't know how it works, but if you can get hooked up with his playlists, you'll have a lifetime's worth of Christmas music to listen to.

Good heavens, I never heard of a cat having a bad "trip" on catnip! Sounds like it was a terrible experience for all. I'm glad everyone got through it okay.

Our printer died late last night, and I lost sleep trying to get it going again. The waste ink triggers a sensor that bricks the printer after a certain number of pages are printed, and the only way to get the printer working again is to take it to an authorized repair shop---which is too far away, and with Mr. sometimes working from home on a moment's notice, we can't afford to be without a printer for days or weeks---or buy a new one. We've been down this road several times before, but stick to this brand because it does a beautiful job on printable CDs and DVDs. This last one lasted only 15 months! Happily, the one we wanted was on sale this morning, so we bought a new one plus a 3-year Square Trade warranty. The salesman assured us that Square Trade prefers to replace the budget-priced printers if they stop working rather than repair them. So next time this happens, we should be covered.

The printer threw my worry-warts into a tizzy right at bedtime, so I got very little sleep last night. I'll have to make up the sleep by relaxing today and getting some good sleep tonight, because this week is shaping up to be crazy-busy at the office.

Glad that you were able to get a good deal on a new printer, and that you're prepared and covered for next time.

Have a peaceful Sunday~
