Good Morning, folks! It's been quite the Monday with crazy things going on already...I dropped a fork on my toe, woke up with weird chaotic dreams-the kind that make you feel like you hadn't slept at all really, and today looks very busy at work. Listening to Christmas music and trying to relax. It'll be fine-just another manic Monday.

Harlowe has a nasty wound- skin infection, and has been feeling pretty rough because of it.
She had a fever, and swelling with it.
She's on antibiotics & an antibiotic cream. Hopefully we'll start seeing some good results this week.

We have visited with Jones sister and brother and niece who are, luckily for us also living in Germany!

Thanks for the prayers, CAH. I am, so hard to see your baby suffering like that.
I think the fever and her behavior because of it, really scared me the most-not knowing exactly what was going on before she was seen by the Vet.

Man, I can't believe we are under 100 days until the season....whose in for the countdown that night? I can't wait. That is one of my favorite times of the year here! I'm getting so excited. We have been planning Bambina's bday and talking about Christmas for the girls. Such an exciting time.

Have y'all started doing any Christmas related stuff? Bambina might have her first sleep over at her Nana's house, so I'm going to try to talk Doc into going to Hobby Lobby and looking at what they have out. She might not want to, but I sure am hopeful

Forgot to take my library books with me to return so I ended up going inside the library to renew them and decided to visit the used book sale. Lots of fun browsing the stacks and I ended up finding a few goodies for the store and a Christmas cookbook for me.

Happy Sunday!
Not too much going on here today, I'm just relaxing and having my coffee. I'm going to take a ride to Trader Joe's later this morning. Other than that I'll be working on a few chores around the house. Should be a relaxing day overall. We're grilling burgers and hot dogs for lunch and eating out by the pool, it's going to be a beautiful day. My parents are coming for dinner, I'm making baked ziti and sausage & peppers. They've been at their place in Pennsylvania for a while so I'm looking forward to seeing them. That's about it for me.

Days to Christmas Day: 138

Shocked at the close proximity of the next Milestone.
It's the........now hold on to your mistletoe (and mistlefinger, too)............THREE QUARTERS MARK TO THE SEASON and it looms just FIVE days ahead!
(Hey! What is it with all these Milestones rushing in on us, anyway??)


Great weather for most of the trip to Hilton Head and Charleston SC, although on Thursday evening in Charleston, we had quite a storm/downpour with street flooding. Once that subsided, we had clear sailing and I even got some photos of a year-round Christmas shop in downtown Charleston. (Will try to post photos.)
Today has begun sunny at 70 degrees.

Happy Monday!
Not a lot going on here, typical day of errands and chores. My youngest said her phone charger isn't working so I'm going to run to the store to buy her one since she's working a long shift today. I've never had a phone charger stop working on me, This isn't the first one I've bought for my girls, I don't know what they do to them.
Snowflake inspired me to get some new wax melts for Autumn, I placed an order with Yankee Candle yesterday. I picked up a couple of the new Fall scents including Sugar & Spice, Vanilla Bourbon, and Brandy Pear Tart. Can't wait to get them. I'm really getting excited about Fall, it's still warm during the day but I can feel a difference in the air every morning. I've also seen a few acorns on the ground.
I hope everyone had a nice weekend and has a great week ahead!

I am so envious of my brother! Today we will reach a temperature of 106 while my brother is spending 2 weeks in Alaska! I text him the other day and told him what the temps are here right now, he text back and said, "na na na na boo boo, it's only 67 degrees for the high here"! I text back and said, "Oh hush"! LOL!!! I wish I was there with him!!!

Just curious, does anyone else here buy Bath and Body Works candles? I am a huge fan of them! Their Autumn scents are my absolute favorite, actually the only scents I buy from them.

I know the majority of folks prefer Yankee but just wondering if anyone buys BBW brands besides me.

I've never bought them before, but I imagine they smell wonderful! We buy the soaps and the wallflower fragrances, which always smell awesome!

The Low Country Boil at Nancy's parents' was great! Bernie thought he had some crab legs to go along with the shrimp, sausage, corn & potatoes, but someone at the store must have sold them. Instead, we added a bag of crawfish. Not bad!

Nancy has taken her mom to Atlanta this morning to meet with a doctor who thinks he can help her with her diabetes-diminished eyesight. I hope he can help!

With Nancy out of town, I have to take the kids to their Dance & guitar lessons. I don't like it when we're all separated like that, but whatcha gonna do?

She wanted to sleep a lot of the weekend, and most definitely does not like the antibiotic cream.
Hopefully she'll start to feel more like her normal self this week.
