Nancy's mom's trip to the eye doctor was a success! They designed some glasses that will vastly improve her diabetes-diminished vision. Nancy says they aren't the most fashionable glasses she's ever seen, but if they work, so what!

I took the kids to their dance and guitar practices last night, and we got home about 9pm. We ran through the KFC drive-through for some of their grilled chicken. When we got home, though, we found that we'd been given FRIED chicken. Bummer. ;) It really IS finger-lickin' good, even if it's not on my diet!

I had a rough night. Maggie's cough flared up and I stayed awake with her for hours. I just called to make an appointment with her specialist and they can't take her until Friday. I'm upset that we have to wait that long. Praying she isn't as bad today. It's so stressful.
And today would have been Molly's 13th birthday. I miss her so very much.
We are expecting heavy rain today so I don't plan on doing too much. I need to go to the supermarket for a few things but I guess I'll put it off until tomorrow.

I went to the garden last night after work ~ pulled all the onions. Went home & mowed the lawn & hung laundry on the line. Started to rain, so I took laundry off the line. Sun came out, put laundry back on the line... you get the picture! :mad: Hubby came home & we had to go pick up our convertible (had it detailed) then back to the garden to pick a cooler full of corn & a cooler full of tomatoes. Then we knocked down a lot of the garden. Everything but the tomatoes & peppers. Looks like I'll be busy tonight & tomorrow night & possibly Thursday night too. Geez! Mom wants to help with the corn - we always freeze some for ... CHRISTMAS EVE!!! ;)

I need to have Gracie to the vet at 4:00 today ~ had to catch her P this morning (TMI) & they will do a blood test this afternoon. Tomorrow after work she has an apt with the groomer to be combed out. Crazy week! :p I just hope & pray her tests come back good - or at least better than the last!!! I'm a little nervous about it!

Sorry that Maggie is not feeling well. I just hate when our furry babies are ill. My little Meca has not been 100% the past few days. She will be 16 in December. She is starting to eat better and getting a little energy back. If she don't improve 100% we will have to get her to the vet.

Happy Tuesday. We are enjoying the last few days of Ethan's summer break. Sadly, Monday we will be taking him back to college. The house will become very quiet again. August can be a depressing month. Kids have to head back to school, our son goes away, and by now we are sick of the heat and humidity. Looking forward to the 'ber months and hopefully a very cold and snowy winter.

My hubby is off too so hoping we can get in some family beach days. I am going back to the Dr on Friday morning for my knee so we'll see what he says. It is the knee cap that bothers me going up and down the stairs. Maybe an MRI...not sure?

Hey guys!
Just had a great Mummy and Me afternoon tea with Lizzybeth and we're on our way to change out of our fancies and pick up big sis and head back out for some low key fun. Maybe explore the new shops at Downtown Disney.
Its been raining on and off but luckly so far we've managed to be indoors or just missing it. Instead of cooling things off the rain just makes you feel like you're walking around in a sauna. Can you say vacation ponytail?!!! Lol

Just thought I would give you an update quick – we are back home and we didn't get any results but the vet was very pleased with the way Gracie looked, felt (no swelling) and acted. Her temperature is normal. She said she has no concerns at this time! Unless if these tests come back with bad results they will monitor her yearly and do a urine test 2 to 3 times per year. So I will be praying for extra good test results!
