Just had my excitement for the day. 4 fire trucks, 2 ambulances, 2 fire captains, 2 suv's with extra EMT's, 3 policemen all from different agency's, and every person who works for my apartment complex just converged here to rescue a little old lady who apparently tried to kill herself in the woods at the end of the street. Luckily, she was sitting up on the stretcher when they wheeled her out so it doesn't look like she got very far along with it.

Oh, no. Bless her heart, I hope she can get some help.

LOL! You can try!!! You know how them UPS'ers are at Christmas time...work, work, work!!! Grumble, grumble, grumble...

I hope you can get the tree. It sounds beautiful! Do they ever run good sales?

Oh yes! My brother works for UPS and he says the same thing about Christmas. He loves the day itself but they sure do work those guys really hard! Sometimes he is not home until after 10 pm then is up around 6 am the next morning.

We saw the tree at Hobby Lobby and they do run sales a lot!

Hmm... Well, we sell cattle prods at our feed store. Just might have to buy one and carry it around while shopping for Christmas goodies!

Pleasant evening all. Had a nice surprise in the mailbox today, I got an unexpected Christmas catalog from LTD Commodities, can't wait to look thru it later on this evening. It's a hot, humid, stagnant temperatures outside all day today; about 90 degrees. I'm inside in the ac for the rest of the evening; working from home. Have a feeling I will be on the computer for at least another 5-6 more hours till I knock off for the night.

Well, think I'll put on some Kringle Radio and get back to work. Have a great night everyone!

Lucky!!! I requested a catalog from LTD last year, got one and never got another one again. Do you have to request for one over and over or did you just sign up once and continued receiving yours? Never had an issue with other companies.

I probably need to contact them, not sure what happened!

Days to the Season: 74
Days to Christmas Day: 116

And those numbers tell us that we are just 16 days away from the 100-day Christmas Day Milestone and the beginning of a twin double-digit count.
That's just 2 weeks from the day after tomorrow!
(Wowzers -- just Wowzers!)


A tad warmer and more humid here yesterday but still very nice.
We have opened the day this morning with a light rain at 70 degrees.


My older niece has accepted an accounting position in Charlotte and will be moving there tomorrow. We will be so sorry to see her leave after 24 years (roots go deep!) but it's a good opportunity for her, and after so many years of education (including her CPA designation) she can't wait to join the working market at last!

Good evening, everyone!

Just stopping in for a quick hello! It was a very busy weekend for me. Saturday morning, Kim and I went to see her nephews play football, then did a bunch of shopping. Sunday, I was busy outside subbing for a friend's Frisbee team. It was nice to get on the field again. Today, I am quite sore.

Getting back to work at Passport today wasn't too enjoyable. Hopefully the week goes by fast... Labour Day cannot come fast enough! Schools open again next Tuesday. Unfortunately, I am still without a regular contract, so it looks as if I will be substituting for now. At least I can work at Passport if I don't have any teaching jobs until the end of October.

Well, I hope you all started your week on the right foot. The 'ber months should bring plenty for all of us here. I am sure you're all just as excited as me to flip that calendar tomorrow morning! Have a great night, everyone!
