Christmas Countdown - 2015

[Holiday]

I went out on the tractor yesterday afternoon, plowing up (harrowing, actually) Jacob's hunting plot. The cool, clear weather really got me in the fall spirit! I didn't even mind the diesel fumes from the broken muffler LOL. The hunting spot is near my grandma's pond, and I saw a moccasin slither past while I was on the tractor. Still have to be careful about those things!

Yes, it is frustrating. Especially dealing with so many different doctors. IMO, it's unprofessional to throw out a few scary diagnoses, without being able to back them up.

Hope that she gets used to the drops soon, and let's you put them in without a fight. Little stinker jazzie just had one recently, as well, and gave my parents a hard time too. Must be uncomfortable for them, poor girls.

Thanks again Snowflake. Maggie did pretty well again last night. I have to sneak up on her with the ear drops. I don't stand a chance if she sees them coming. I hope Jazzie is back to 100%.

My father-in-law is back home, now. He was released yesterday. They couldn't pinpoint his medical issues, unfortunately.
My fingers and toes are crossed that he will do well this week.

Yes, it is frustrating. Especially dealing with so many different doctors. IMO, it's unprofessional to throw out a few scary diagnoses, without being able to back them up.

I can relate to that. When Dad went to the ER last summer, the doc said it looked like he had kidney cancer. So here it is, midnight - 7of us in the waiting room & they send us home on that note! Talk about a sleepless night. Thankfully it wasn't cancer at all, but I thought that was so unprofessional to even mention that if they aren't sure that's what it is!

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's a beautiful morning with a temp of 50 degree's. It looks like we will top out around 76 later. Unfortunately, it looks like the upper 80's are going to return for a few days later this week before cooling off again. At least my A/C is getting a nice break. Not to much going on here today. I'm sitting at the hospital right now waiting for them to call mom back to hook her up to a portable heart monitor. She has to wear it for 24 hours and then come back for them to take it off. The doctor wanted it done when she was having her spell the last time we were in but it took them a month to get it scheduled and of course, she isn't having the heart palpations now. So not a lot hope that it's going to show anything. I also need to stop by the store while we are out and pick up a few things too. Other than that, just hanging at home. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I'm heading out soon, I need to pick up a few things at the supermarket. I'm making Chicken Enchilada Soup for dinner and I forgot to buy enchilada sauce, lol. I'm in the supermarket just about every day, it's crazy. I always shop with a list too, go figure. I need to stop at Rite Aid and the post office as well. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores. And yes, I'm still trying to decorate for Fall!

Busy day today, therefore this is just a quick post. Weather has cooled down a bit and I spent the weekend reading Tammy Falkner's "The Reed Brothers Series".

My husband can't believe I'm reading and chatting about Christmas.Sure glad I have my festive chums to understand how I can get lost for hours on these merry pages.

Hoping today goes by fast and is uneventful. I am tired, and my work is really draining these days.

Sorry to hear he's still having issues! Praying he does well & he is assigned a CNA very soon! Is anyone staying with him now? Poor guy!

Time at the lake was nice. We went to the winery, watched the Buckeyes, went out for supper on Saturday. Yesterday we had friends & neighbors over to our house. I made a pot of taco soup. We wanted to make it over the fire at the lake, but it was too windy!

No, he's staying overnight alone. She does stay over, as needed.
He doesn't think there is anything wrong, and has no recollection of events at the hospital unfortunately.
My sister-in-law lives a mile away, and stops in a couple of times per day to take care of him. In between her full time job, and kids activities. Bless her heart. I don't think she sleeps much.
He does have a medical alert necklace, which provides some comfort to us.
Because of no diagnosis, and him choosing to be at home- legally, their hands are tied. So it is a bit worrisome. We are praying! And thank you for your prayers!

There are diagnostic tests for lymphatic cancers. I speak from experience. Why would they throw out a guess like that without scheduling the diagnostic tests? It's lousy of them to toss a scary "diagnosis" at a family without following it up.
