Good Morning, Fans of Christmas.......and Tolerators of Monday!

Well, the following just might make today more tolerable:
Days to the Season: 46
Days to Christmas Day: 88

And if THAT doesn't do it, THIS surely will:
We are -- believe it or not -- just NINE days away from our next Milestone......and it's a real shocker.
On October 7 (SINGLE DIGITS from today) we will reach the 90 percent mark and enter the "HOME STRETCH" to the Season.
(Now that's really incredible. Unbelievable, in fact! Dare I say scary??)


Still more rain yesterday. We are downright soggy here!
But no rest for the weary. Rain is in the forecast all the way to the weekend.
This morning has commenced at 71 degrees with the threat of rain pending any time.

Good morning MMC! Happy Monday!!! My hubby got the day off work today - lucky duck!! So far it's cloudy & dark'ish looking outside. It's not supposed to rain today but it looks like it could. We started out at 62º this morning, heading to 83º! The weather has been so amazing!!

Afternoon,
It is a gorgeous day here and set to be like this all week. The temps are really pleasant and practically summer like (our summer )

On our way from the city last night, the moon was an extraordinary sight! Mesmerising! It had us all in awe, so much that we failed to notice our car was smoking !!!

Just got the quote from the mechanic! Someone hit me over the head so I can wake up in a Snowglobe and escape all these 'surprise' expenses that just keep on coming!!!

Well a hundred things to get done today and already falling behind so must dash!

Oh by the way anyone else curious about NASA's big announcement later??

Good morning everyone, Happy Monday!
I'm really dragging my feet today, I need to get moving soon. Typical day of errands and chores. My FIL's birthday is next week so I'm going to pick up a card & gift today. We headed out to the Christmas store over the weekend to pick up our tree, brought it home and set it up immediately to test out the lights and make sure everything was working properly. My son came home from work and wasn't phased by it and my dad came by and nonchalantly asked if that will be where we plan to set it up this year. Neither one knew we just bought a tree or asked "why is your tree up so early"? They just know me so well they were not in the least bit surprised as to why it was up in September! Ha ha!!! Then as we were planning to take it down my son asked why we were taking it down and thinks we should just stay up. I think I agree with him but it came down anyway, I have a lot of fall decorations to enjoy for now!

AW! Yay for the tree! That's awesome! I'm with you-it would be nice, but fall decorations first!

Hi Everyone ... I so miss coming here ... We have been extremely busy packing as we have 11 days until we move and our daughter's birthday is later this week. I will be so glad once we move in and get things unpacked and settled then I can start getting ready for the holidays This beautiful fall weather has me chomping at the bit to decorate for fall, burn my fall scented tarts and do some major baking but almost everything is packed up. For now I just have to settle for apple cider and pumpkin flavored coffee.

Last week we lost a neighbor at the other end of our street. We really didn't know each other with the exception of Christmas. She went all out for Christmas .. decorating big at that end of the street. Well her service was over the weekend and her family paid her a nice tribute this weekend too. They decorated her house for Christmas one last time (from Friday night to Sunday night). We walked the kids down there Saturday night to look at the lights, blow ups and blow-molds that they had out and on. It was extremely nice and humble.

Afternoon all!

I am back at work. Had a short shift today. My friend was down from Windsor again this weekend. We had a Christmas movie marathon. We also went to Yankee Candle to look at the Christmas candles. We looked like weirdos sniffing all the candles and commenting on them. The lady must have though us nuts! haha. We went to the dollar store to look at the Christmas stuff and also over to Walmart to check it out there. I found two things! A new tree topper and a cheap inflatable! Woo hoo!

I'm achy from working over the computer all day! I hope the effort will be worthwhile! Got a couple other little things done as well. Must relax some tonight before heading back to the office tomorrow.

That's a great way to show respect for a Christmas lover. When my friend's mom was dying of cancer, they knew she was nearing the end and she always went way out to decorate for every holiday, but mostly Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, Easter and Thanksgiving. Her family decorated her hospital room every day for five days with a different holidays so she could have one last bit of joy in something that gave her great pleasure.

I remember when I visited Ireland many merry moons ago, it was July and it was a bit breezy and it seemed to drizzle rain the whole time. I'll try not to complain too much about the weather here. Glad you were able to enjoy some nice weather for a change.
