Good idea ... maybe Carl could stand a free drink (or beverage) for those of us with big bills and heavy rain.Happy Pines Day to all! For those of us with extra bills and extra rain, Carl needs to whip up something special tonight!
I know it annoys non-Christmas fanatics at how long the holiday stuff is out in the stores but it's fun to see out early. Then again this is coming from someone who thinks about Christmas related stuff every day of the year so...Its beginning to look alot like christmas where i livenearly all the stores have the stock out, not alot but theres some! So much I want to buy.... hurry up payday!
Happy pines Day, Brad!!Good Wednesday (Pinesday!) morning, my Christmas friends!
It's a busy work week for me with my after-work business. All the elections in the area have the local politicians (not me this time!) scrambling to advertise, which is my business. Lulu and I drove to a town about 30 miles away to work on an ad sign, and we have a few more to do this week. She loves it, because I have to drive slowly with the signs and she can hang out of the window. She loves to bark at folks on bicycles LOL!
I hope y'all have a great day!![]()
That is wonderful!! Have fun window shopping until thenIts beginning to look alot like christmas where i livenearly all the stores have the stock out, not alot but theres some! So much I want to buy.... hurry up payday!
It is a crazy morning here, too!Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day!!! I'm getting a late start catching up around here this morning! Had some things to finish at work & then had to re-boot my computer cuz it was being a pain...and then of course there were updates. "One of them mornings" It is cold & chilly feeling outside this morning. The wind is nippy!! Feels like a dreary fall day!!
Last night seemed like such an awesome soup night, so even though we had leftovers I tried a new recipe I have been wanting to try for Hearty Ham & Potato Soup that was in the September issue of our electric co-ops monthly publication of Country Living. It was delicious! I will have to be sure to keep that recipe!Very filling! (though my hubby managed to eat some leftover Bruschetta Chicken with it...lol)
Anyway - not much else going on around here. Is it 3:30 yet? Ha ha!
Have a Happy Hump Day everyone!

Good Morning, Christmas Fans Near and Far.
And we are not far from our next Milestone. It's nearer than you think.
More about that presently.
First:
Days to the Season: 44
Days to Christmas Day: 86
OK, Folks.
ONE WEEK FROM TODAY. The 90 percent HOME STRETCH point, after which we coast right on in to Christmas Season 2015!
(Incredible. Just incredible.)
And still the rain falls. Flooding in High Point, NC to the west of us made it to the national news. No problems like that here in Raleigh, but still...............
Today has started off at 75 degrees with, you guessed it, more rain ahead.
Well, neither rain nor sleet nor gloom of......well.......anything, will stop Carl from the swift presentation of his appointed entertainment.
And what will he have planned for this evening, the last open house of September?
Only one way to find out. And I for one plan to take it.
How about you?
Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!
Morning all and a happy Pines day.
Good luck making a very tough decision. I hope Maggie is improving!
Yeah maybe together we can make it go slow. It's definitely an old and saying that is used all the time but the older I got the more I feel it important to indeed take one day at a time. Have a good one!

I've never been a big soup person (I'm more of a pizza and chicken guy) but that does sound really good.Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day!!! It's just crazy!!!! Can't believe TOMORROW is OCTOBER!Good evening. Time to rest up before hump day gets here and the final day of September. Unbelievable.
Sorry to hear about your glass dish & especially about having to throw away all that chicken! What a big bummer!!!Good evening everyone! Wow, I didn't realize how tired I was until I just sat down. I feel like I could sleep for a week, I hope Maggie has a good night. I was on the run most of the day, it was one thing after the other. Then I made a big batch of oven fried chicken for dinner and out of nowhere my glass casserole dish broke and shattered in the oven. Scared the day lights out of me. I never had anything like that happen before. I carefully cleaned it all up after the oven cooled off. What a mess. So all of that chicken obviously went right in to garbage can and we got Chinese take out. I'm going to the dollar store tomorrow and buying a bunch of those disposable aluminum pans. I have no desire to use a glass dish again. Anyway, I'm going to turn in soon. I hope everyone had a happy Tuesday. Enjoy the rest of the evening and I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight everyone!

That's ridiculous!I just went outside to take Harlowe out, and it's already 45°. Lows in the mid 30s! Quite a change from 80's this weekend![]()
Good evening,
I finally made it to my day off! (Wed.) A looooooonnngggg day today followed by more Scout meetings.
It is going to be very rainy here for the next few days, predictions of up to 7 inches of rain over those few days. We need the rain, but not all at once. Just hoping the basement won't flood.
I have some major catching up to do, I am behind by 426 posts as of this moment.
I will see you all tomorrow.
Goodnight, everyone.
Good Morning, friends ~
Merry Pines Day!
It's a chilly start to the day!

Good Muggy Morning, MMC! It's quite a soggy mess here in the mid-Atlantic region...it's rained a few inches already, I haven't seen the sun since last week, and we're now all eyes on the weekend as a tropical storm/hurricane looks to move up the east coast and give our area possibly another 6-7 inches of rain! YIKES.
I'm taking advantage of this last warm day to wear my favorite knee-length skirt. It'll likely be put away until March after this, and I want to make use of the time I have to wear it! Tomorrow's weather should be about 20 degrees cooler for the high. The rest of the week is cool as well, and traditionally October really starts to cool off around here. Maybe we can finally put away the AC units after tonight!!
Headed off to work here in a few. Happy Pines Day to all! For those of us with extra bills and extra rain, Carl needs to whip up something special tonight! Have a great day! Happy Last Day of September--HOW is that here already?! Enjoy it-tomorrow begins the real push to the holiday season for me!

So glad Maggie had a better night!!! Sophia just wanted to PLAY!!!!Thank you!
Maggie had a better night, coughed a little bit off and on but slept pretty well compared to the past couple of nights. Too bad Sophia woke me up twice, lol.

Good Wednesday morning. Hump Day is here. It's a mild 70 degrees and raining (boy do we need the rain and we sure are getting it based on the forecast through the weekend).
The last day of September. We say it often but it's scary how fast time goes. I was thinking earlier when I woke up that my one New Years resolution that I make every year and struggle to keep is "Take one day at a time." It's very hard for me (and a lot of people) because I'm a big time thinker and am always thinking ahead. I think it's awesome to anticipate things that are coming but just as important to focus on the present. Instead of waiting until Jan 1 to make this resolution again I've decided to try it now for the last 3 months of the year (and by far our favorite 3 months of the year). No better time to enjoy each day than during the Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Years run. Those words/holidays give me the chills just typing them and yet we're on the verge of entering that time of year.
Anyway, enough babbling from me. Hope everyone has a great mid-week, last day of September and look forward to reading the boards from work when I get there shortly.
Prayers for you guys. How frustrating!Good morning everyone!
Happy Pines Day!
Not too much going on here today. We are expecting shower/storms most of the day. I have a couple of quick errands to run and then I'll be working on my daily chores. Lots of laundry to do, I kind of slacked off on it yesterday. I have a few phone calls to make as well. Still doing some research in regards to Molly's case. We're seriously considering filing a complaint against the doctor that misdiagnosed Molly and the animal hospital as well in small claims court. I need to gather some more information first. Unfortunately, proving veterinary wrongdoing can be difficult. It's frustrating because there are several people in that animal hospital that know exactly what happened but they aren't going to throw their colleague under the bus. Makes me so angry. Anyway, I will be deciding today whether we're going to go ahead and file the complaint.
That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
