I went to Dollar General last night to get some gift bags - they had an isle of Christmas up & they were still working on more. There was a lady in there in her jammie bottoms & slippers (you know those walmartian emails...yep, that was her) - and mercy was she WHINING about "Christmas already!!" I just looked at her & smiled as big as I could. I didn't say a word!

When I got home from work yesterday, Nancy and I took Elizabeth to Nutcracker practice. They told her last night that, in addition to getting the parts she wanted in the ballet, she's being given the lead part in the Flowers scene. She was so excited!
My brother just left my office. He said the guy who mentioned buying my Camaro's engine is getting insistent, so I guess we're going to do it. It took a long time to get that engine running, but that's because we were scrounging for parts. The next engine, we'll just order all new parts and have them on the table when it's time to build it. And we should have enough money left to finish the interior and exhaust. I'm excited, too!

I know not everyone is going to be as obsessed with Christmas as us but I have to say it does surprise me how many people really do not care for Christmas. Even people I've worked with etc. act like it's nothing. I wonder if they don't have any special traditions or maybe their families don't celebrate it like it's that important. I haven't had a chance to catch up on here yet, but I'm hoping too. Should be a busy morning, which is good. Get these next 3 hours at work done so we can head to the lake & let the festivities begin. Last night I chopped all the onion, carrots, celery, cabbage & tomatoes, I grilled & diced the smoked sausage for the soup we're making tomorrow - everything is ready to dump in the pot & there was no clean up! I threw 2 cutting boards & 2 knives in the dishwasher, wiped off the counter - wah lah! Clean up done. We need to cook outside over the fire more often!

Once you have it finished, you will need to bring it to the mountains. Maggie Valley and Pigeon Forge have several car shows each year.

New tree??!! How exciting!!! FUN!That's exciting, I'll have to take a ride with my husband this weekend and see what our Home Depot has out. My hubby promised me a new tree this year
Oh and I'm really shy when it comes to taking pictures as well. Maybe if there isn't anyone around, but that's not usually the case.
