Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! It's currently 54 degrees under clear skies. We are expecting a forecast high of 73 degrees with partly sunny skies. A nice warm and sunny late October day.
I loved watching The Great Pumpkin last night and it sounds like many of you enjoyed it. It definitely help put me in to the Halloween mode. I've been watching some Halloween shows and will try to watch a bunch more the next several days and especially in to the weekend before Halloween. Wednesday is here as I refer to it "The day of hope" because now the weekend isn't crazy far away at least. I hope everyone is enjoying the ride through October. It's been fun so far.

Good morning!
Happy Pine's Day!
It's going to be another beautiful day, sunny with a high of around 70 degrees.
Maggie has a groomer appointment this morning. My youngest has a doctor appointment later this afternoon. I'll be running errands and working on chores in between. I hope to squeeze a workout in at some point. Crazy how busy I've been lately, no downtime at all. I wasn't even able to go for a walk yesterday, a couple of unexpected things came up that threw my day off.

20 minutes to go! Man, I forgot how excited I get for these Charlie Brown specials...the holiday season is arriving tonight for me!!!! Christmas music from my early season favorite on in the background and preparing to give my sister a call in just a few! It's going to be absolutely lovely! When does the season REALLY start coming for you? The tv special tonight is absolutely making it feel real for me! I'm bursting with holiday spirit!

We are big baseball fans. The holiday season for us starts right after the World Series ends. Baseball is over for the year and we are on to Christmas.

That's an easy question for me, I enjoy the Halloween special but the Christmas special is by far my favorite. Nothing compares to Linus quoting from Luke 2:8-14 explaining what Christmas is all about.
I was 6 when the Great Pumpkin first aired and 7 when Charlie Brown Christmas first aired. My wife laughs at me but I haven't missed a year watching them and Rudolph.

That's so awesome!!!

LOL I don't blame you if the bosses are away LOL

They always have the news on. I like to catch up on the news but I don't need to watch it all day. So shortly after they walked out the door, I changed the channel!

LOL, it is. But it scared the you know what out of me
I was sitting there, on the couch-in the living room, fireplace on, drinking coffee. When all of a sudden I hear a crash and the fireplace glass had fallen off, landed on the carpet, and it was HOT. So, I was afraid that it would start a fire, laying on the carpet. It was so hot that I had to run & get oven mitts to even lift it. I didn't know if being exposed directly to the gas was dangerous, so I had to wake them up so Adrian could help me get it back on. So, here we are struggling not to burn ourselves, I have coffee all over my work clothes, the floor, etc. It was frustrating & comical!
Har was anxious at first, then brought me her ball, wanting to play!

I managed to pick up some Halloween candy today. I am not sure how long it will last as it is already calling to me. What's wrong with me! I don't usually eat sweets but it's always the same every halloween. It's like a candy spell has been cast upon me!

I am having a festive mince pie with a ginderbread tea before I go pick up the boys. I am not all that into them but I like to have one especially when they first come out for the season at the bakery.

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day!!! Both bosses just left for most of the day - WAHOO!! It's supposed to be 76º today - I say bring it on!! I got work done outside after work yesterday & I grilled out bbq ribs ~ it was such a nice day!! They are so numbered!

Who watched The Great Pumpkin & Toy Story of Terror last night? I worked on my afghan & watched both. Love it. Now I'm even more ready for Christmas shows to start. Ha!
