I think I would kind of like that.
It's nice, because when that time passes, you turn off your outside lights & kids know they're not supposed to come. You know when to be home, and when you can leave and not feel bad, and your fur kids can remain calm =]

They started it here several years ago...probably longer ago than I realize. They start with a Halloween parade around town & then all the kids go off into their neighborhoods for trick or treating. They do it in the afternoon to keep kids safe. I'm glad they didn't do that when I was a kid ~ we liked dressing up & going around after dark. LOL

I would take my girls trick or treating after dark as they got older. They loved it, definitely more spooky at night!

I'm excited - I just got an email from my SIL asking if us Aunts can "pick chicken" for my nephews wedding! Many of you probably don't know what that means ~ pending where a wedding reception is being held, many Aunt's take off work the Friday before a niece or nephews wedding to help pick chicken off the bones for chicken & noodles & dressing (a staple at weddings here) Most weddings here are between 600 & 750 people, so it takes A LOT of chicken. It might not sound glorious, but it's always a fun morning with family, coffee, breakfast....and wine! ;) And we get to watch the hall being decorated ~ it's exciting. She also said there is going to be a cookie table & asked if we could help by baking cookies for it. Right up my alley!! YAY!!! (it's the little things...)

Holy Moly, that's a lot of people to feed! Sounds like a great time, enjoy!!!

I might not have liked the idea when I was a kid but that would work out well for me now. It totally makes sense.

Exactly- it wasn't that way for me in my hometown. But as a parent, or homeowner, it's great.

Good afternoon Snowflake!
My day is going well, hope yours is too!
See you tonight!

Yep, they just "changed" the forecast :brr:whiteowl
And it's going to be near freezing, and turn into a rain / snow mix.

That's how it is here too - if your front porch light is not on they aren't supposed to stop...that is of course unless they are friends or family!

Yeah Nitro weighs 17 lbs. I think smaller dogs though naturally have a complex so they bark at everything!
"Little man's disease" :p
