Hope you all have had a great Thursday. Aside from not working, I had a fun time hanging out with my dad and doing a few other things. He's heading back home tomorrow. It's been a good time. It was nice to see him. I'll be seeing him again in about a month and a half when I am back home for Christmas... but who's really counting down to Christmas? :)

Please send up a prayer for my SIL if you don't mind. She is in ICU - they took her last night by squad then transferred her to a bigger hospital to have fluid drained from her heart. She was supposed to be moved to a regular floor today but they don't want to take the drain out b/c they are still getting fluid from around her heart. They got a liter last night, more overnight & 400 ml today. She has low sodium levels, low energy, no appetite. She has had breast cancer in the past & was supposed to have a surgery to remove an ovary a couple weeks ago before she started feeling so sick with a chest cold. They are running a lot of tests & her oncologist is involved. She is very sick. This is my brother who passed away in 2012 - his wife. She sure can use some prayers! Thanks friends! :)

Good Morning. I went for a job interview yesterday during my lunch. It was with my previous company that I worked at about 6 years ago. They have a position open for a senior level plumbing engineer and it seems like a perfect fit/ match. The one owner I interviewed with, said he would hire me on the spot, but he needs to discuss it with the other 2 owners before a definitive yes or no can be given to me. He said I should hear something today or tomorrow. Fingers crossed....

You will get the hang of it. Any handicraft feels strange at first. Put on some Christmas music or a Christmas movie and go to it!

Ok, heres the dilemma; I coach my sons football (soccer) team and tomorrow is our annual Halloween party. Every year we have a best pumpkin competition, and this year I'm torm between carving the team crest into the pumpkin or something more traditional...

What do you yhink guys?

Do one side as the crest, and the other side something traditional.

I've got a short day at work and then I'm headed to a retreat center for the night to do a presentation for some college students with some colleagues of mine (say that two times fast!). It's basically a time for me to get away and relax tonight with two hours of presentation tomorrow AM before returning home!

Tomorrow night, a friend of ours is having a party for her birthday, so we'll likely spend Halloween with them. It'll be awesome.

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday today and a wonderful start to your weekend! I'll pop back in tomorrow sometime!
 
Good Friday Morning MMC! It's currently 49 degrees under mostly clear skies. We are expecting a forecast high temperature of 58 degrees under mostly sunny skies. A nice late (VERY late) October Friday. Speaking of...
It's Halloween EVE! It's FRIDAY! What a combination. I'm probably more excited for Halloween than most kids. But I always said growing up 100% and being 100% mature is boring (maybe I have a partial Peter Pan syndrome but don't we all?). I'm looking forward to an extra hour this weekend also...some pizza for Halloween...some good candy...seeing some kids with costumes...watching Halloween shows. Yup I'm a big kid...and proud of it.
I hope you guys all have a great Friday. Think about all the fun Halloween stuff we can do this weekend. Hard to believe Sunday will be NOVEMBER...the month of the season. Talk to you guys later!
