Say it ain't so!Last of valerie's christmas shows on qvc tomorrow. Saddest day of the year.
Goodnight, MMC!!!
That's funny! The old technology talk is making me smile. My son asked me what a VCR was the other day! He was so confused when I told him. He also came across an old mixed tape in my keepsake box. Held it up like it was a prehistoric artifact. He had no idea what it was!
He also saw an old rotary phone on TV recently and wanted to know how it worked without buttons or a touch pad.
I stand corrected!OR teen girl(s)!![]()
Yes!Agreed or "Here I go Again"
Welcome back!I just wanted to say hi to the Christmas crew! I am happy to be back for the 2015 holiday season (though I peeked in sporadically throughout the year). I hope to see a lot more of you guys over the next bit of time. It hardly feels like Christmas without seeing your posts, guys.
Boston is a good one to wear out the tapes with, awesome group.I still have a box full of 8-tracks, and a working player (in storage). I wore out three Boston tapes in my mom's Pontiac Catalina!
And we still have a VCR in the living room. A LOT of our family videos are still on VHS. I have to do something about that.
When I got a smartphone, I set the default ring to the old-fashioned phone bell because I thought the younger people at the office would use custom ringtones. But a lot of them use that ringtone!I held onto my rotary phone as long as I could before the touch-tone buttons became so necessary to access menus. I liked the old-fashioned look and preferred to hear a bell.
(I still feel a phone should ring, not shriek!)

One of the greatest Christmas gifts that Santa brought me was Donkey Kong for the Atari 2600. It was all I wanted that year. (1982 or 1983)Qbert? PacMan? Asteroids? Those were the days...I was probably 5/6 years old playing Atari. Miss it.
Morning all and a happy Pines day to one and all. We've hit the hump and the weekend is in sight.
Hello...and Goodnight too!![]()
Good evening,
It feels so much later than 10:53pm, I guess it is just one of those nights.
Day off tomorrow, you know what that means? I start decorating for Christmas!!!! I am looking forward to breaking out the lights and decorations, but I do it slowly over a few weeks so I don't have to rush to get it all out.
I have been listening to Christmas music when I can, whether it be on Music Choice, Pandora, or SiriusXM, it is great that it is on.
It is Mo-vember, so I am actually growing a beard this year, it is the first time I have tried this. I usually grow a goatee, but I wanted to try something new. I am shocked at how many gray hairs are coming out in the beard. I will not grow a Duck Dynasty/ZZ Top beard, I work with a few people that have those and all I can picture is when they have food stuck in them. That freaks me out.
I will be back tomorrow.
Goodnight, everyone.
