Good Afternoon, MMC!!!!! It's a chilly day here with a high of 42 predicted this afternoon. We got our first snow on Saturday. It was just enough to cover the grass and roofs but not stick to the roads or sidewalks. So pretty much perfect!!! Then yesterday it was freezing!!!! Brr!!!! I'm in agreement with everyone else that it's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is this week. We are having it at my aunts but I'm pretty much doing all of the cooking. So I just got back from the store and now I'm making my pumpkin rolls. I attempted to do them yesterday but they tore as I rolled them. So far things are going better today thankfully. Tomorrow will be more prep work and then lots of cooking on Wednesday. I hope everyone enjoys the holiday if I'm not back on before then!!!!! Have a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Monday Friends!! I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is on Thursday! Just flying by....I am working this week but off on Friday...my company closes so that is nice. Tonight I am headed to the grocery store to get my turkey and all my stuff needed for Thursday. We host and are having about 24 people or so. Everyone brings something so that helps out. Have a good day and will check in with you later!

Went out to pick up a few things and now just finished lunch. Working on some stuff for tonight's meeting. Hoping to do some gingerbread house work as well.

My father-in-law is doing pretty well, thanks!
He was part of a ship's christening over the weekend, a really neat event that Adrian attended with him. Things like that really mean a lot to him, and get his mind off of health concerns, and sadness from missing Dorothy.
Harlowe is also doing much better. Her lab work came back normal, thank God.
She has been on antibiotics to hopefully clear up what's been ailing her. We are hoping that she'll be fine following her last dose. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for asking~

Good morning, MMC! It's great to be able to come and read all the posts this morning. I officially took my last cert yesterday and am done with those ones for two years. It was a crazy two weeks and long month or so, but I'm glad it's all over with. I'm now off for five days, due to my new work schedule, but I love that I get that kind of new rotation too. I'm planning on finishing cleaning and then starting to decorate in the next day or two.

As far as today's plans, I'm going to take the kids out for lunch and then to see the Peanuts movie. We just got a 3D movie theater here and try to go when we can. I'm really looking forward to the movie!

Good afternoon, everyone!

Finally. Victory Monday has returned! It's always good to see the Packers win. Hopefully they can continue their winning ways throughout the Christmas Season!

We have a few clouds in the sky and the wind remains somewhat strong in Ottawa. I awoke this morning to temperatures below freezing.... Yep. We hit about -8c/13f last night for the first time on this side of the year. I had managed to avoid using the scraper to chip-away the frost/ice on the windows until this morning. No real complaints, though. November 23 isn't that bad!

Today should be a busy day. I'm at Russell right now. I only have a half period off, then I have to monitor a standardized test.... something I absolutely do not believe in, but that's not my decision. After teaching, I have to go to the gym for a very quick workout.

Tonight, Kim and I need to get groceries. We had not time yesterday as we did not arrive home from Cornwall until about 4:30. And, of course, the Packers game took precedence over groceries. Priorities, indeed. Then, I have some sporting stuff to play tonight at 8:30. I think I will be sleeping easy tonight.

Well, it's almost time to get to class. I hope everyone has been enjoying their days thus far. The Christmas Season is going strong! Christmas music is finally on the radio here in Ottawa, too. What a great way to start the day! ...and continue throughout the day - I don't even need my iPod!

Was deer hunting all weekend. Only saw 1 deer. But while sitting in my stand on both days, it started snowing. My thoughts automatically went here and all my friends here and thoughts of Christmas. I'm now done with hunting, going to get our real tree Friday and decorate the house this weekend (the fiance has a rule that we don't decorate for Christmas until then, the exception is to put up the outside decorations up because the weather was decent, but I cannot light them until Friday (I'm going to try and push that to Thursday, though. what a better way to send Thanksgiving out than with lighting up the house for Christmas!)) Happy Sunday everyone!!

I hope you are able to turn your lights on Thursday ~ I use to do that, as soon as we would get home from our Thanksgiving with family I would flip on the lights! We don't even have them up yet this year! Have a great day!

How is your Dad? Meca?

My dad has been doing a lot better since he had his infusion over the summer. Praying it stays that way and he stays healthy over the winter, he usually catches EVERYTHING! Hoping he don't catch this cold going around.

Meca is still doing good for her age! Thanks for asking!

What an honor for your father in law to be part of a ship's christening! Praying for his health!

Glad Harlowe's bloodwork is good and the antibiotics help her!!! Praying!
