Christmas Countdown - 2015

Exciting update from my neck of the woods:

I've been asked to play in the city pops band for the big Christmas Concert next month! Rehearsals start again...TONIGHT. Surprise! I can't wait to go play some instrumental Christmas arrangements for band, including the ever-popular Sleigh Ride!

It's chilly here tonight, but nothing like last night. We'll be up and down the next few weeks it looks like...but I remind myself when it's a little warm that it's okay--it keeps the heating bills down!

It's always great to be teaching. I am here all week. It's only a four-day week (Friday is a PD Day), but I am more than happy to have 8 of 9 working days in two weeks!

Good morning, everyone!

Well, we finally received what much of the rest of Ontario has been getting over the past week or so. Yep. Snow has arrived in Ottawa. We had about two inches fall overnight. Just enough to cover the ground and force me to brush off the car. November 24th seems about the right day for this to happen. No complaints here.

Yesterday was a little busy with a quick gym visit, groceries, and sports. Everything was going swell until I collided with a friend in in mid-air and landed kind of funny on my ankle. Hopefully it heals throughout the day. I have dodgeball and hockey tonight. I don't want to miss either.

How about that countdown? In one month from today, we will have our final wake up before Christmas morning. The forum will be jumping and everyone in the world will be smiling, knowing that there is only one more sleep until Christmas!

I hope everyone started off their week on the right foot. If you're in the U.S., how could you not? You are only two days away from Thanksgiving! Have a great Tuesday, everyone! Merry Christmas!

Good Morning MMC...Not up too much today just working and I am going to hit the gym this afternoon for a quick workout. I went to the grocery store last night and got my 24lb turkey! I passed 3 houses and they already had their Christmas lights on. They looked so pretty!
Hope you all have a blessed day....cannot believe in 2 days we will be celebrating Thanksgiving!

24 lbs that's a big one ! Last time I roasted one that big was, well a long time ago ! My brother and I had moved to BC, got jobs and apartments but did not really know anyone yet to have thanksgiving with, He worked on a turkey farm so I suggested he bring home a turkey and I would cook it for us. He brought home a 25lb one ! We had left over turkey for a couple of months !

I forgot to tell you guys that I made my cornucopia for Thanksgiving on Friday night. I will stuff it with small squares of different kinds of cheese, grapes, & bite size pieces of jalapeno beef stick.

looks great ! It will be so good ! I include a bowl of spinach dip so people can break off pieces of the bread and eat that too.
I have that same baking stone...pampered chef ?

I have been doing some shopping. Mr Festive's birthday is on the 07th so I have that in addition to christmas to think about!

I made it to my mini break, still feeling very sick, but I toughed it out and made it through the full day at work.
I came home and took an hour+ nap instead of decorating for Christmas, I guess I will have a full day of decorating tomorrow.
I am too tired to finish getting caught up tonight.
