Here's a new update (more details) about the parade - this is just exciting! LOL 
Mikaela will be in the Spirit of America group performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. They will be the last performing group and Santa comes down the middle of the crew. Mikaela starts in the 7th row but moves up in the beginning of the dance to the 2nd row in the middle section. At the end, she will be right down the middle. The parade is from 9 -12 aired on NBC. Miara Carey will go, then Snoopy, ( commercial) then our crew, then some ballons, then Santa!! Look for these costumes. She has a great chance of being on TV. Thanks everyone for your support!!

Well after days of nagging, I am happy to say Mr. Rose finally bought the turkey late last night and preseasoned it all by himself I may add.LOL
Today I will spend some time prepping and chopping vegetables ECT.
Then tomorrow morning we get up and put it altogether.

I thought I was the only one who does that! Oh boy, my blood pressure goes up when I get in that line!HA! Kroger was a ZOO!! And of course I picked "THAT line" at the cash register. They were having problems. It was no big deal, but I always seem to pick "that line"!

Tonight we go to see Mama Mia - looking forward to that. My sister is having us all over for chili (or taco salad) & grilled cheese before the show. We figured it would be too rushed to try to go out to eat 1st, so she offered to have us over!I'll have to watch it on DVD.
I don't think I told you that the vet called yesterday & said Gracie's specialist is out of town until Dec 1st so her test results won't be read until she gets back. Ah, the waiting game! At least Gracie seems fine (knocking on wood) so we'll keep doing what we're doing!

Don't feel bad Brad. My company doesn't let me out early today...but they are flexible so basically we have made up 3-4 hours this week working extra so we can bolt out of here early. And having Friday off is awesome...I do here but my last job I worked it 4 years in a row.Happy Thanksgiving Eve morning, my Christmas friends!
All this talk of going home early today is making me jealous. We usually cut out a little early on Christmas Eve, but they're not so forgiving on Thanksgiving Eve. In their defense, however, they do give us the Friday after Thanksgiving with pay, too. So, we get a four day weekend after today!
We checked out the mower Mama was interested in, and it looked good, so she bought it. It's one of those industrial zero-turn SCAG-brand mowers. She needs it, because she includes the whole pecan orchard as her yard. That's several acres of grass to cut, but she loves it!
We're BBQ-ing chicken for the plant today, and the whole place is filled with the smell of chicken cooking. I'm getting hungry!

that is totally awesomeness ! What an honour for themOh, parade update! My friend texted last night & said her daughter is towards the end of the parade, as a matter of fact, she is in the group that will be introducing........ SANTA CLAUS!!!
How fun is that??!?!! Apparently she is in a group of 600 dancers. She will be in the 2nd row!
Not that you will get a great view of her on tv but this is her in the middle (blonde)

It seems like winter began today as suddenly the weather turned rather cold and rainy...yesterday the temperature was in 70's, today it is much colder.
The baby woke up a bit sick today, I think he has a cold. I am a bit worried about him.
On a different note I am so excited that it is only one month to Christmas!

I work in a school as well although I am taking a year off atm. It must be exciting for everyone to open the new builing! Glad to hear the students are awesome. What ages do you teach? I work with 12-16 years old boys but from next year we will be co-ed. Have a great day too!

There are a lot of picky eaters in my family (I am one of them) so I know the feeling! I always have to prepare A LOT of food in whatever I do, but at least my husband likes to eat a lot so any left overs, he will eat hehe

I feel like I can't catch my breath these days, I have so much little things to do. I can't imagine how busy you guys must be having Thanksgiving in the mix too!!!
I put up the window lights a couple days ago but when I switched them on they were blue which was not what I purchased LOL! I tried to like it but it didn't go with any of the other lights and Mr festive wasn't keen . It was funny though as I was not expecting it when I turned them on! I bought two sets that day so I must have checked one set twice and unfortunately didn't realise until they were up LOL!
Anyway.... hope you all are having a great Thanksgiving Eve!

LOL about the lights, they sure can put us through shenanigans.
We had blown a fuse the other day, and before I realized what was really going on, I thought the whole tree's lights had gone out again. Ahhh!

Thank you Festive. Yes I am really worried because he is so young and can't tell me what he is feeling. I hope he doesn't get worse also because tomorrow I have to take him to a hospital appointment for which we've been waiting a long time and is rather important since we have to meet the surgeon who has to perform surgery on our baby when he's around 1 year old.
