Congrats on the win, Holiday!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that you will be missing so many people on Christmas eve and Christmas eve this year. I'm sure you will still have a great party though and hopefully you can skype or facetime with your bother in cape cod so it can still feel like they are there!!!
Thanks made!
Skype or Facetime is a great idea! We'll have to do that. He said he will be in Florida for Christmas - "80º, palm trees & white beaches" Booooo! ;)

Yeah, they are saying that they have arrested 2 kids that made threats to Danville but that they aren't the ones that made the facebook threats to both districts.
Hopefully they catch all of those #@&*^$!

You and me both, my friend. I have an idea how to stop it, but it's not politically correct, so it'll never happen. ;)
Brad for President!!!

I'm sorry your Christmas Eve isn't going as you'd hoped. If it's any consolation, it doesn't look like mine will, either.

But great job on getting the car fixed...and a hundred bucks to spare!! :)
Thanks Brad! Sorry your Christmas plans aren't going as expected either. We'll just have to enjoy anyway! xx
Correction... I will have $17.82 left after car bill is paid. LOL :p Darn truck needed new tires & an oil change....car needed front brakes relined & new brake rotors. OUCH! We didn't get the family discount! ;)

Good evening,

I finally finished my decorating!!!! That is a weight lifted off my mind.
I have been working on a Christmassy project for a few hours, and I lost track of time. I need to get some sleep. Six more days until my vacation, I work the next 6 in a row. I cannot wait.

Goodnight, everyone.
I hope those workdays fly, so you can get down to some deep Christmas enjoyment!

I think there is no greater feeling in the world than waking up with nowhere to be and no specific plans for the day. I haven't had that in about a month. Today, I finally get to relax and enjoy. I am so thankful for time to read my Christmas magazine and to make plans with my sisters for next week! My husband has to work 38 hours straight at the hospital so he's sending me home to spend time with my family instead.

It's going to be a good holiday, even if Mr. and I have to celebrate it on the 23rd!

Time off will be few and far between, but more than I've gotten the last few weeks, so that's wonderful. Hope everyone has a very merry day! One more week until Santa's on his flight!
Really, really ENJOY your time off---it's hard-earned!

Happy Friday Eve! Just a usual day of working and I am getting ready to put a beef stew in the crockpot. Hope you all have a great day! View attachment 17445
Your house will be smelling wonderful soon. Sounds yummy! Have a great day snowflakemom!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! It's the day after the Pines and I have to tell you, I'm feeling it!!!! What a party though!!!! A cold front has arrived and we are back to normal winter temps today with a high in the upper 30's. Yuck!!! I was enjoying the warmer temps and so was my electric bill!!!! It also seems that the 4 dumpsters it took to clean out the apartment 2 buildings over last week, left a lasting impression on the owners, so we got a notice saying they would be coming around tomorrow to inspect all the apartments. So I'm going to spend the day cleaning. Then everything will be ready for me to do some cookies this weekend too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, four dumpsters for one apartment ...
We cleaned out a house after a dear friend of ours, who was a hoarder, passed away; that took six or eight dumpsters and about eight or nine months of evening and weekend work, as I recall. He was a wonderful, witty, knowledgable, interesting senior citizen who was interested in a little bit of everything, so he collected and saved everything. Not all of it was junk, so we had to sort through it carefully. (For instance, we found a 1938 Walt Disney storybook in the middle of a waist-high stack of old newspapers.) He was also a big Christmas nut; were he with us today and online, he'd almost certainly be here on MMC. We still miss him. We often visit his resting place on Christmas Eve and share a Coca-Cola with him---he loved Coke.

What a nice tradition!!

That's what I thought. They're probably violating Google's copyright somehow ... we'll see if they're still around in a few months!
Yep, or they are affiliated with google.

Well, it's not like it took the whole $1,000! :p At least the Legion paid for the repairs rather than yourself.
As we say at home ... it'll buy lunch at McDonald's.

What a nice tradition!!
Thank you ... it's a bit odd, but it's meaningful to us. We take a little glass bottle of Coke with Santa on it; we each toast our friend, take a swallow, then pour the rest on our friend's headstone (it washes away dirt that has accumulated during the year). I'm sure he smiles down on us. He was a film collector, so we have his photo where we screen films in the basement; and he was a Christmas nut, so we have an ornament with his picture on the little tree in our TV room. So he can see all the Christmas movies and shows we watch during the season.

** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 35 **

Good Morning, Folks........and WOW!
Christmas is coming.
ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW, in fact!!

Days to Christmas Day: 8
(Don't believe us? Just check out the chart.
Or better yet, the calendar!)

Chilly -- no -- COLD weather is just around the corner.
But for now, sunny days and moderate temps (except for today, when it's supposed to rain).
We are at 53 degrees here currently under skies that look like they just might be considering releasing some of the wet stuff any minute.

But be you wet or dry, warm or cold, calm or wind-blown, you have a Thrilling Thursday and an Exciting Expectation of Weekend Eve tomorrow - the LAST Weekend Eve before Christmas!
Thanks, Crown~
Hope you have a jolly day!

Ha ha! Exactlyl!!! :p:D I just wrote a check for the bill - we'll save the cash for something more fun!! LOL
