I tried that, but I have to play it at a deafening level to drown 'em out! So I have to resort to the white noise! (Actually, pink noise or brown noise works better for me.) Anyway, judging begins shortly, so maybe the excitement will level off after lunchtime.

I may have to give it a try. I need to go buy ice for the coolers & some pop anyway, (need to check out our whiskey situation too) so maybe I'll pick up a 6 pack (not to share with the neighbors though! Ha ha!)

Gloria e-mailed that they will be showing the first movie she starred in, "The Under-Pup," at the hospital today! (She's in the hospital recovering from a fall that broke four ribs.) I'm so excited for her! I know everyone will be blown away by her performance in the film---there will be a room full of Gloria Jean fans before it's over!

Hey world!!!!!!!! Is it just me or does the countdown of 6 days 3 hours 58 minutes and 30 seconds seem a little "when the heck did that happen?"!!! Hope everybody is well and all geared up for next week! I'm actually off now until the 28th so can finish up all my bits and pieces (like tiling the bathroom) at a leisurely pace ...............ahahahahahaha..............yeah, right!!!!!!!!!! Things here are pretty good. Don't know if I mentioned that this will be Bruce's last Christmas with us for a while - he's taken a job in Shanghai, working for Disney teaching Chinese kids English through the medium of Disney. Inside voice is screaming "NOOOOOOOO - too far!!!!!!!!" Outside voice "Wow, what an opportunity, of course you have to take the job" So, I'll be making the most of it so I can look back fondly at our yearly "but WHY can't we have mac and cheese for Christmas Day" argument!!!!! Take care everybody - I'll swing round again soon xxxxxxxxx
