Good morning everyone, Happy Tuesday!
I'm up way too early again. Seems to be the norm lately. If I'm lucky I will squeeze a nap in this afternoon. I have to go food shopping later this morning, after everyone is up and off to school & work. Other than that I will be working on some chores around the house. My youngest didn't end up going in for jury duty yesterday, I didn't realize she is on telephone standby for two weeks. So she has to keep calling every night to see if she needs to serve the following day. Kind of a pain in the butt. She'd rather just know what day she was going in so that she can make arrangements with work. And she's also worried about missing something important at school. We'll see what happens.
I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's been a busy morning today, so I haven't had a chance to post before now.

I went outside for my morning walk around 6:30, and it was raining! I guess I wasn't expecting rain, and now it looks rainy for the rest of the week. I need to get a few more seeds in the garden while it's raining!

Good morning, everyone!

It's over... Finally! The new teacher came in yesterday and officially starts today. I am no longer teaching Grades 7/8 every day. I am officially back to supply work! As I have said before, having my own class(es) was fun, but this will be much better. I am dealing with students that I can get along well with and, of course, I am getting paid much more! No more 60% of a day pay!!

I hope everyone has been having an enjoyable week thus far. Yesterday was not very pretty in Ottawa. We started out with some very wet/icy conditions. It rained afterwards, too. Now, we're finally on our way to SPRING weather. We will finally reach double digit temperatures (50s) on Thursday and it looks to be here for good. Hooray!

Well, I guess I should get some work done. Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

Yes! And they are mean!!!! They love one of our lake friends & bug spray doesn't keep them off her. If she's outside at dusk, she has to go inside & put on pants & a sweatshirt - even if it's still 90º outside!!

Oh, that poor woman! I have the same problem and it makes me miserable.

Good morning everyone, just a quick hello from me this morning. I'm not off to a good start today. I'm a nervous wreck about this jury duty thing. I hope everything works out for my daughter. My father had a doctor appointment yesterday because he hasn't been feeling well and his doctor ended up sending him over to the hospital for tests. They ended up admitting him so I'm going to take a ride there today to see if I could find out whats going on. I had a dermatologist appointment scheduled for later this morning, I think I'm still going to go. My mother and brother will be with my father this morning. I'll go to the hospital after my appointment. I'll pop back in here when I can.

Good morning, Holiday! National Peach Cobbler Day, huh? I have a confession: I'm from Georgia, but I hate peach cobbler! I like canned peaches, but not fresh peaches. Weird, right?

Not weird. Does the fuzzy peel bother you?
The best peach I ever had was the first one ever off of my peach tree ~ so yummy!!

Good Pinesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's overcast and humid this morning in south Georgia. Blech.

Jim and I have been working on the interior of the Camaro. We have the carpet padding down, the dash ready to go in, and we're repairing the sagging headliner. Fun, fun!

Mom got back from her latest trip to the mountains with a lady from church. They had a blast, and kept texting me pictures of them playing in the snow like little girls. LOL

Not that unusual. Canned peaches are always sweeter and plump. I like mine fresh though or fermented into a very tasty beverage..lol!!

My wife was just saying last night how she wants a wheaten terrier again. We miss Happy.

We found out that my father is having complications from stomach ulcers, the doctor said he's going to be alright though. He should be released over the next day or two.
Everything worked out for my daughter today. She got out of jury duty early today, thankfully there wasn't a conflict with her class tonight. And she's also not required to appear tomorrow which is great, so she won't miss her appointment to schedule next semesters classes. She is still on telephone standby for the rest of the two week period.
My dermatologist appointment went well, I'm glad I didn't cancel!

I never made it here yesterday, I was too tired to make an attempt. I got home and took a nap and pretty much vegged out the rest of the day.
Today was (Wed.) JP's 11th birthday, I can't believe he is already 11. Unfortunately he was sick tonight, and wasn't able to enjoy his special day too much. We have a small party planned for him on Saturday so hopefully that will make up for him being sick tonight. I still have catching up to do, but I will try that tomorrow.

Nearing the half-way point of April already.
The year is just racing by.

As are our Milestones. In fact, two are about to fly by almost simultaneously.

Days to the Season: 213
Days to Christmas Day: 255

And the first of those is the one-third marker to Christmas Day, now only 12 days off.
The second is, of course, the 200-day Season Milestone just a day's longer wait.
Less than two weeks until DOUBLE MILESTONES!


Coolish yesterday but dry, with little wind. Plenty of sun made it seem warmer.
Today should be another pleasant one with much warmer temps on the way for early next week.
We show 44 degrees here currently, on our back door thermometer.
