We are nearly down to SINGLE DIGITS to the HALF-WAY MARKER to Christmas Season 2016. It's just 13 days away.
(Now that's really scary!)


A tale of two day halves, yesterday.
The morning was rainy and chilly. The afternoon was warm and sunny.
Today? Well, more rain is predicted.
Currently, we perceive 70 degrees here on our back door thermometer.

---- TRAVEL ALERT ---

The Crowns will be doing some traveling this month! Three different trips.

The first starts this Wednesday. A 2 day trip to western NC where my sister has a work conference. My nieces and I are going along to visit the Biltmore House in Asheville.
The second will be our annual trip to see relatives in Florida coming up at mid month.
The third and last will be over the Memorial Day weekend to complete work at the cottage for the start of the summer rental season.

(Lots of guest counter opportunities!!)

Anyone interested in the first one?
(I can post Wednesday, as we are not leaving until late morning but someone will be needed for Thursday and Friday.)

I'll do it in case nobody else does but I want to give someone else a chance since I did it last time...

Good Monday Morning MMC! First work week of May. Looking forward to this month with Mothers Day and Memorial Day. I've got off 2 Mondays this month (16th and 30th) so I'm looking forward to that. This is my busy week at work although it's not terrible. Looks like we're going to have a damp, cool and cloudy week. So much for May flowers . Anyway, I got my mom a gift certificate for her hair salon, a cake and then we're gonna take her out for brunch in a couple weeks.

Have I told you all that I have a daughter getting married in June? It's all good, they got engaged last month. This was the big moment:

But have I told you what fun weddings are, especially one that we're attempting to pull off in less than 90 days...and that the groom's parents want to invite 350 people.

Kill me now.

Seriously, if I get through this without my head exploding, it'll be a miracle. Christmas in July can't come fast enough.
