Good morning all my Christmas loving friends !

Wednesday already, the week is flying by. Party at the pines...wonder what Carl has planned ?

This is a day off paid work so I can stay home and do lots of other work. LOL
Hope the rain holds off for you snow so the work can get done. We are really in need of a good rain here and looks like it is on the way for later today.

Have to pick up my mom at 9am to take her shopping. I need to find a small book shelf to put beside my desk, just to many books I guess.

We had GREAT success at the dealer today-got a 2015 Focus with 6,000 miles on it for a GREAT price and great financing. I'm so glad and relieved. We got an extra deal with our financing too that even our salesman was surprised to see, which was AWESOME. Glad we have reliable transportation for me and Mr. again!! Happy Pines Eve folks!! Hope you all are having a good evening so far!

Sorry I didn't make it back here last night. After supper I was tied up on the computer. Does anyone a good resource for quickly learning Search Engine Optimization (SEO)? Particularly with Google. I can get my websites to reach the top of the first page on all other search engines except Google. It's crazy.
Anyway, it's going to be warm and sticky today. I'm glad I work indoors.

Yes, it's 'Pines Day once again. Our happy mid-week respite, hosted as always by Carl and his zany crew.

But even Carl would exhort us to attend to the daily numbers first thing.
As such:
Days to the Season: 151
Days to Christmas Day: 193

The day after tomorrow -- SINGLE DIGITS to the 10th Milestone Marker on our chart -- the HALF WAY POINT to Christmas Day 2016.
(Well, what do you know about that!)


Yes, the heat and humidity returned yesterday but it was not as bad as it was on Sunday. Tolerable for mid-June.
Today, the story may be rain, and that could be repeated each day until the weekend.
At this hour, it is mostly cloudy with a temperature reading of 74 degrees here in central North Carolina.

(I hear there is a new fired twinkie flavor to be tried out on us guinea pigs there this evening. I for one am happy to volunteer!)

We had more torrential rain last night, which continues to push our landscaping back. Fingers crossed that there's a long break soon. More rain forecasted for today.

We had a heavy downpour for about 20 minutes last night then it quit.
We'll take what we can get. It's been very dry.

Busy day in a busy week...
The boys have their last week at primary school this week
and they are starting High School (Junior?) in August
(What? My babies? Feels like yesterday I took them to their first school day!?!)

So they are having a sort of "graduation" this evening
Formal party.. Tables with white linens, dinner and entertainment
They have put together a show for us parents with songs, dances
and some funny acting...
(and we parents are going to surprise them, and sing to them)

They have been practicing for weeks, and today they have done 3 shows
for the rest of the school, grandparents and others
Can't wait to see them tonight

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! Another beautiful day here (sound like a broken record but the weather has been really nice in June). Should start to get warmer but the humidity remains low which is the big key in the summer. I think that by the weekend and into next week we may turn more humid so I may finally be using a/c more on a regular basis. We shall see. For today I'm going to Applebee's for dinner so something fun to look forward to while I'm at work today.

We got a 1 1/2 mile walk in this morning before it started pouring, then storming - Gracie was hanging out in the basement when I left for work. She does not care for storms! Poor girl! Looks like we will have a clearing here for a hour or so but they say more rain later. We need it!
