Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning all my Christmas loving friends !


It rained here !! We so badly needed it, going to get more this afternoon, hopefully.
I am off today but stuck working all weekend. They hire teenagers for weekends then let them have so much time off us regular day shift folks end up working instead. I think it is time we all stood up and said no !

My new counter top for my cake room arrives today , so excited. once that is in I will have a really great work area.. After that need the sink installed and I will be ready for health inspector. If I get the green light from them I will be open for business again.

Good Morning, Weekend Anticipators.
Well, the anticipation will not go on much longer.

Now, the anticipation of Christmas Season 2016 may be more extended but its arrival may be much closer than you might think!

Days to the Season: 128
Days to Christmas Day: 170

In fact, you will note that in just FOUR WEEKS from today, we will pass through the 100-day Window and into a DOUBLE DIGIT count.
But before that, in less than a week now, we will enter the LAST third of our Season count!
(Ah! The anticipation!)


Yet another rainy afternoon here yesterday with another severe thunderstorm warning that thankfully did not play out.
With lots of humidity around today and a predicted high well into the 90's, it likely will not be pleasant one.
Currently, we are at 74 degrees here in central NC.


Have a Fantastically Fabulous Friday, Friends.
And prepare yourselves for a grrrrrrrreat Weekend!

Another fun day, we went and saw "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows" today. It was a fun movie, we will probably pick it up when it comes out on Blu ray. We went to a car show tonight, but found out it was canceled due to the thunderstorms that never materialized. We will try it again next Thursday night.
My sister is driving up from North Carolina tomorrow, so we will get to spend time with her and my niece and nephew for a week and a half. It has been almost two years since we have seen my sister, and a few years longer for her kids.

Winding down watching the '80's classic "The Great Outdoors" now, whenever I watch a John Candy movie, I realize how much I miss him.

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

We've been having a great time here in the mountains! The temperatures have been wonderful. We went to the top of a local mountain around 2pm, and it was in the 60's. Nice! We spent the day on Fontana Lake on a pontoon boat Wednesday, which was a super time!

Coming home tomorrow. I hope y'all have a great day!
 
Happy Friday...we made it and I am on vacation next week! We don't have too much planned, we will probably go to the beach and my MIL's pool. Just working today and praying for those poor police officers in Dallas and their families. Hope you all have a great day!

I'm sure mine used to hate me though. I used to work as a sales rep for a company that had contracts with Kraft, Conagra, Five Hour Energy, and Wrigley just to name a few. I called on over 300 accounts every 6 weeks. I got boxes of samples to hand out every cycle and a crazy amount of displays to put up. When five hour energy first came out, I got 600 of the little black three tier racks you see in every gas station to hand out. When Wrigley switched from the old style package to the new flat boxes, I got 500 boxes each containing 6 cases of gum to switch out all the stores. All delivered to my apartment by a lonely UPS driver. I tried to keep him happy though with samples of slim jim's, nabisco cookies, and planters peanuts.

Its amazing that UPS is still in business. Anyone remember their strike way back in the late/early 90's? Still to this day UPS employees pay for that strike due to sub stations being shutdown and less manpower. Also every single second of their day is being watched by a computer. Pay is VERY good, company is very bad..lol

LOL! Yep, mine is one of them! :p But there is a lot of behind the scenes things that goes on that the customers don't know about! (not that their gripe should be taken out on the customers...) But they like to cut routes & send the drivers out with HUGE days, etc. Just a lot of management BS that ticks them off! :rolleyes:

There was also a snake in the grave ditch though, so you better believe we finished that service REAL QUICK.

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! I am off Monday for my mom's birthday so that makes it a 3 day weekend for me. Last weekend was more busy with the holiday so maybe this weekend will be a little more relaxed (although I still find I enjoy being busy more). What is everyone's plans for this summer weekend?
