Christmas Countdown - 2016

I usually only get one or two ornaments a year, my focus is right now is the retro Hallmark ornaments. I have the first two of the series, I think it is bubble lights this year. (I also usually try to find some at 90% off, but this year no luck)

I used to buy more, but I've cut back. I didn't make it there today, either. Our friends called & were passing through on their way up north, so we ended up visiting with them. And then I met my girlfriend for lunch.
I will either go tomorrow or this week!

I love their retro ornaments, excellent choice for collecting.

Good Sunday Morning MMC! We had a birthday cake for my mom last night and gave her a gift. It was nice. Monday we're bringing her to IHOP for brunch for her birthday (which is actually tomorrow 7-11). Today is the in-between day. I plan on doing some grocery shopping today. Yesterday was cloudy but today the sun should shine (eventually).

What a wonderful vacation we had! It's hard to leave temps in the upper 70's for temps in the upper 90's, but it was time to come home. To tell the truth, I'm ready to get back to work. How crazy is that? LOL

Glad you had a great vacation. I get the whole "ready to go back to work" thing. I felt that after New Years...but by about 2 weeks later I was already looking for a day off lol.

Really closing in now on one Milestone with the next, a rather shocking one, not far after.

Days to the Season: 126
Days to Christmas Day: 168

The closer of the two Milestones is the two-thirds marker to Christmas Season 2016 and it looms now barely over HALF A WEEK ahead.
Then -- after that -- the ONE HUNDRED DAY SEASON WINDOW which will be here in just 26 days.
(Shocking, indeed!)


A dry day was enjoyed yesterday at long last. It was warm and humid but not unduly so.
Today is predicted to be clear as well with reduced humidity. Could potentially be a rather nice day.
We have started the second half of our weekend off at 75 degrees here in the capital city of the great state of North Carolina.
