Wow that is a scary and unsettling story. I can see how you had trouble sleeping after that. Wonder if you'll find out what was inside that house...Hope you will have a more peaceful night tonight.That was probably a good idea! Glad you got some extra shut eye.

Harlowe & I didn't sleep so well, after we got up in the middle of the night to go outside, we heard a thud against a construction trailer/hauler next door, and then movement in the house being built next door-it was recently framed up. Then shrieking and screaming from an animal :/ So I told her to hurry up and we got back inside very quickly! That creeped me out. And made me a little sad, too.
My mind was wandering on what it could be-raccoons, coyotes, rabbits, woodchucks, skunk, deer, bear...something with rabies...ahh!
My friend has a bear coming to her deck each night, yikes!
Hope everyone had a great day. I was training new assistant-managers these past two days and had to take a last-minute conference call today at the request of my District Manager, so I did not get much of my work done. Already dreading tomorrow, trying to catch up. Have a fantastic evening everyone!

I have debated it. We had one when I was growing up and I was in awe of it. A lot of memories in those trees.
How did you break it enough so quickly?
I know, I felt so bad.
Fish & Wildlife told me if we have woodchucks we more than likely don't have coyotes, but who knows what was making both sounds. We may now.
And I don't want either of them anywhere near Har.
Do you have fisher cats out in WI?
Those things have a terrible/frightening sounding scream, and they are very mean.
