Attention all COOKS!
While talking with Edge about desserts I was reminded of something my Grandma made and I cant think of the name of this apple dessert.
It was a peeled and cored apple that had butter and sugars and spices put in the center. It was wrapped in a pie crust and baked in bowls. I cant think of the name now and its driving me crazy..lol. It was pretty much a individual apple pie but not quite the same. Anybody know what these little gems might be called?

Apple dumplings?

We are known for them here in Wisconsin, it's pretty much a staple if you come here! But I have also seen them here & there in other Midwestern states. You can either get them fresh, or fried as an appetizer .
Here are the ones we had today :

We had them with ranch dressing, and a chipotle ranch dressing. They are out of this world amazing!

Hope you're having a wonderful day!!

Cheese curds are a huge thing in Quebec, considering how big poutine is here. Hubby will always grab a bag of fresh ones when we go grocery shopping. But we've never had fried cheese curds, sounds interesting and delicious.

Good Sunday morning everyone! So yesterday morning, I went to work for 15 minutes to say goodbye to an employee who had been with us for 9 years. Always sad when one leaves. Then we went grocery shopping and in the afternoon, we watched the Olympics. Hubby was callied in to work at 9:30pm because power had been out for a few hours and someone needed to be there for when the diesel company came to deliver extra fuel for the generators.

I'm working today, replacing my colleague who had suffered an ailment while I was away on vacation. She is doing much better and will be back at work tomorrow. It's going to be a rainy day. Wind is already picking up. Then temps will drop and so will the high humidity. Wishing all of you a great day!

Have a great day Martine!

Good Sunday Morning MMC! Who's ready for a nice Sunday? I'm going to my Uncle's for dinner this evening. We do that now about 6 times a year (basically every other month). It's really reconnected us and we have a lot of fun doing it. It's like our own little private party. The afternoon I plan on spending with Rollins. He already was waiting to go out when I got up this morning. He still isn't a big eater though. Maybe it's the brand of food they were feeding him. I'm not sure though but he still eats sometimes (more wet food he seems to like than dry but I mix both like they said to). I'm debating whether I need to start getting up a half hour earlier during the week to deal with him and not have to rush for work. Who needs sleep? Oh I do lol.
Have a great Sunday everyone!!!
