wow...2/3 of the way to Christmas already, where has the time gone !

a tornado touched down a couple of hours from here last night (near Detroit)

A double-double, so to speak.

Another pretty nice day here yesterday but the heat will start to build again today, and by tomorrow we are told it will be back in the mid 90's.
(Oh, well. After all, it is still August.)
Currently, we record 69 degrees here.

Good afternoon my friends!
I'm doing really well right now after my surgery. The pain block in my shoulder wore off about 11:30 last night and so far today I'm able to manage the pain with Tylenol. I don't like taking the prescription pain meds.

Happy Thursday MMC! My old friend humidity has returned with a vengeance! I'm kinda glad he stopped by because I was one more fall like day from going on a pre-mature pumpkin spice beer binge. Now it's back to the end of summer frame of mind.

My cat Bella has allergies that flare up like that every once in while. The veterinarian gives her an antibiotic & steroid shot that usually does the trick. Keeping Lulu in my thoughts.

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

I worked on my part-time business until dark yesterday, and I'll have to do that today and tomorrow, maybe even some on Saturday. But, it's better than not having work to do, eh?

One of Jacob's classes is requiring him to go to an unscheduled 8am study hall, so he's been leaving the house before I do. Now that's unusual! Even more interesting, Nancy gets up to make him a cup of coffee in a tumbler for the drive. She's never offered to make my morning coffee!

The last time when our cats were kittens, I had to completely take down the tree and then start over they wrecked it so bad.

Well at least you got to put the tree up again! That's one of the most fun things to do.

Good evening,

I spent most of my day in my freezer at work, setting it up for inventory and for the turkeys which are 7 weeks away. Clean it out now, all we have to do is maintain it now.
I came home and mowed the lawn, it has been 2 weeks, but it was a hay field with all the rain we have gotten.

Day off tomorrow.

Yeah I remember the first three years with Loki, he sure loved our Christmas tree and liked to pull on ornaments (a few broken ones over the years). Now we put the breakables higher up. Last year he left the tree alone. Rollins is at the stage where he's discovering everything for the first time, the tree will be so inviting to him. Good luck

Oh yeah. It's going to be very interesting. But one thing I can say even till last Christmas when he was turning 11 Nitro loved Christmas morning. He always got more presents than we did! He always got excited Christmas morning. I look forward to doing that with Rollins starting this year.

Good Thursday Morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve! Even more importantly Happy 1 week till the BERS begin. Rollins got up earlier this morning so as I was trying to get my stuff done before taking him out etc. he interrupted me and I had to take care of him before I could continue. Just catching up on a few things at work today and tomorrow before next week when it's my busy week. Went to the Chinese buffet last evening which was delicious. Starting to think about Friday, the weekend, and September...but first things first...today!

We had a little rain & rumbling this morning - and a beautiful rainbow. Jim was just letting Gracie outside when she heard the 1st rumble. Straight to the basement she went! She came back up when she heard me get the turkey out for her medicine so I shut the basement door. She wasn't very happy! I had to carry her outside, put her leash on & drag her to the middle of the yard & she finally went potty. That poor girl is so terrified of storms! When I left for work she was happy under her table in the basement!
