Well shopping trip is done for today. So now I'm off to the pines. See you all there!!

It looks like the lows are in the 40's and 50's, and the highs in the 70's for the next couple of weeks

I am probably in the minority on this, but I can't wait until the highs are in the 40's and 50's.

I do!!! We went after whoppie pies. I could have spent a ton of money though. It's a good thing they didn't take credit cards.

I love whoopee pies, a local grocery store sells excellent ones. I want for my birthday one year a birthday cake sized whoppee pie from Wicked Whoppie's.

Busy day working and sneezing. Ugh I think it's allergies but could do without it. Hope everyone is having a great day! Going to collapse in front of the TV. Too tired to even read.

It is a load off my mind for sure.

I bet!! It will be a load off my mind too when we finally get our 6 tickets to Hawaii booked for early 2017 - hubby & I, my in-laws, & my bro/sis in-law. Fun. Fun! LOL! Everybody has a different idea of when & where to fly from. We'll figure it out!

Well, it's not really a carol but the song Same Old Lang Syne makes me sad. It's not the lyrics, either. I've never liked that song and my dad hated it! We used to make jokes about it any time it was heard and talked about how cheesy it is (in our opinions). Long story short, now that he's gone I can't hear it without thinking of him and it makes me a bit sad. But, it reminds me of him so I now listen to it, even though I don't like it. Kind of strange!

Awesome!! Emma brings us things home if we ask her to pick it up for us. Amazing how much more reasonable the food is there - delicious too!

Well, at lunch I turned Christmas music on the tv/surround sound, (I tried Autumn Jazz - just not my thing I guess) I cleared off the mantle, all my coffee/end tables, the tables & fireplace in the sunroom, dusted everything - it's ready for fall decs! Hoping to work on that tonight! Getting excited!!!!

She is doing pretty well, thanks. Still has some tough days, but good overall.
I just set up an appointment for her with a specialist /Cardiologist in October. I hope and pray that we get some more specific answers, and not just more questions.

I am probably in the minority on this, but I can't wait until the highs are in the 40's and 50's.

I don't mind them when it's time, but I dislike the dangerously negative temperatures and wind chills where it's not even safe to be outside. There's too much I have to do out there, and then that makes life very difficult.
I just want a full Autumn season first!

We had a snowy Halloween a few years ago. We usually get some flurries at least in October somewhere.

Probably 2011, trick or treating was canceled, we were without power for 5 days. We took the kids to the mall for the "Mall-oween." Every kid in the region was there. So we went to Target and had the kids pick out a few bags of candy for their trick or treating candy. It is one of those special memories we will talk about forever.
