View attachment 30165 View attachment 30166 What a weekend!! (And what a time trying to catch up here!) everything went smoothly and a great time was had by all. Still getting used to being married again. My left hand feels weird now. Hope it doesn't slow my running down! :p:p Seriously though, other than still being exhausted from the weekend, I haven't been this happy in a long time!
That's a really great pic. Congrats! You guys look like you belong in a magazine.

I heard from Adi, and there is some swelling in her back. They prescribed an anti-inflammatory. I hope the diagnosis is accurate, and it gives her relief quickly. Also praying it heals well.
They also prescribed some antibiotic ointment for the skin irritations, as there is an infection present. I am going to buy her a vet recommended dog shirt for anti-itching and anti-licking, so she doesn't have to wear the cone of shame. (She never does well with them, gets quite depressed. And I'm sure they are uncomfortable, as well!)
Thank you all for the thoughts, prayers, and hugs.

@Festive Spirit
It's good that you have a diagnosis and some remedy. Hope the anti-inflammatory does the trick. Any idea what could have caused the swelling and skin irritation? I had never heard of an anti-itching/licking shirt. Loki hated the cone, something to remember if he ever needs one again. I hope that Harlowe will start to see the positive effects of the medication quickly so she can rest tonight, poor little thing.

Congratulations! The photos are beautiful. Looks like the temperature collaborated too. I love people being so in love. You both deserve all the hapiness that comes to you :)

Thanks, Martine. We couldn't have had a better day both temperature wise and cloud cover wise!

Sean,
Congratulations to you and your gorgeous bride. Wishing you guys a happy and content life.

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S to you both!
I wish you many happy decades together!

Oh goodness. I wonder what caused the swelling. Glad they found what is causing her discomfort though. Prayers for the antibiotics to work quickly.
She said it can just occur in some animals, or it could be from an incident, as well. I pray this is what is bothering her, and the meds work. She said it's what we have to go on right now, to run the course of the meds for both problems, and see if they make her feel better. If not, we'll have to go back to the drawing board. Next up may be a Lymes panel.
Thanks for the prayers, Sam~

Oh wow....I hope the meds kick in soon. Poor girl. Andre has been on anti-inflammatories for his neck and they worked pretty quickly. I hope that shirt works well...the cone of shame is no fun for sure. Continued prayers for her!

We were supposed to have sunshine and a high of 70 =)
It just stopped raining and its still around 60 degrees. Fall-like!
Oh wow!! For the 1st day of fall we are supposed to hit almost 90º - actually 87º!

Praying this is the answer for sweet Har! xx

I hope the prescription helps! It's always a positive when they come back with a diagnosis that can be treated instead of "we're not sure."
Thanks, Edge~ Me, too!
She thinks that's what it is, but as always, it's a process of elimination. Fingers crossed that's what is hurting her & they help ASAP.

Thank you, Martine <3

She said that some dogs just develop back pain, arthritis, etc. Some are prone to it, others can injure themselves by jumping a certain way or landing wrong.
The vet recommended shirt in this case is for the anti-licking, and anti-itching. But they are also used so dogs leave stitches alone after surgery, or offer a calming comfort for anxiety.

I ordered this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Surgi-Snuggl...311904&sr=8-1&keywords=anti+licking+shirt+dog

She has a few bumps/growths on her skin, but also gets some after being groomed. She has sensitive skin, and gets all natural products at an eco-friendly groomer. (Oatmeal bath) But some scab up a little after grooming. For whatever reason, maybe because of allergy season, they are bothering her more and are in the perfect spots on her back that she can reach. She has been licking them, and now they are infected.

Thank you, friend!

Is Andre still on the anti-inflammatories?
Has he ever stopped, but had to go back on?

The shirt will be interesting, because you have to unstrap it so she can go to the bathroom, hope we always remember to do that!
