Loki has a sweater for when it gets really cold. He has no issue with it cause he knows it means he's going outside. But he's glad when we take it off, he shimmies out of it fast.

It was raining heavily here, but up in Vermont it was merely cloudy, so we had a good time. Sadly, the Christmas store was closed and gone. But we visited a few stores in Woodstock, and the foliage along the highway was magnificent---brilliant splashes of color as far as the eye could see! It was worth the long drive there and back.

Something else we saw in Vermont ... and early sign of the season: Haviland Orange Mints! (They're like little peppermint patties, but the mint filling is flavored with orange.) They're in stores only during the Christmas season. We brought back six boxes. :D And I got a Polar Express "believe bell" and a deck of cards with art from a different vintage Christmas postcard on each card. And Mr. gave me a Christmas book for an anniversary gift!

Good Monday Morning MMC! Happy Columbus Day! I know many of us don't get today off but if you do enjoy it. I'll be off next Monday as I'm taking my 1st vacation day since mid-August. Does not feel like it's been 2 months but it will be next Monday since I picked up Rollins and that was the last day I took off. I was at the mall yesterday and it just hit me how close we are to everything. 3 weeks till Halloween, 3 weeks after that we're basically at Thanksgiving and 3 weeks after that we're a handful of days away from Christmas. Yikes. Time to really get ready for our favorite time of year.
