Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! Well instead of 1AM like Thursday morning, Rollins let me sleep an extra hour (as xander mentioned to me) to 2AM! I had to play with him and then I finally got back to bed. Then I woke up and he had gotten into the garbage and got sick. He seemed fine when I left now. Other than being a little tired I am glad that it is Friday. Going to try to relax this evening with a good dinner and watch some Halloween shows. Saturday I'm going to do my usual errands I need to do. Sunday we're going to my Uncle's for our big Walking Dead return show/dinner. Should be a fun/good weekend.

Harlowe's appointment went well, very informative.

We have an accurate diagnosis! She is not in Congestive Heart Failure yet!
Harlowe has Chronic Degenerative Valve Disease, Cavalier King Charles are prone to this.
Knowledge is power...
We will try to wean her off /slowly remove one of her medications, and check her respiratory rate on a regular basis. I intend to keep her on the heart medicine, as there are no adverse effects to any organs if she stays on indefinitely. And we will do another echocardiogram (ultrasound) on her in about 9 months to see where she's at. Once she progresses to the next stage, we will start her back on her initial heart medicine that worked great but was impossible to administer. The cardiologist can have it compounded & made to be odorless and flavor free. Studies have been done in the last year that change everything! They prove you can effectively treat heart failure before it sets in-before they said it was impossible to prevent progression-this could potentially hold the progression off for 12-15 months! This is huge for an animal, and their family. I am so relieved for more time with my sweetie. I was originally told once diagnosed, life span was 6-12 months. And we are at 9 right now.
God is good! And medicine / science can be pretty amazing, too.

Merry Friday!!!

Woke up this morning feeling very festive about Halloween and Christmas. I don't know if it's because the kids are now off school but you can really feel it in the air.
It's dark and gloomy out and chilly in the 30s. We have Pooh's Heffalump Halloween on and I am enjoying a toffee nut latte with a toffee apple muffin.

Mr Festive texted me this pic. They decorated the trees along the streets in the city for Halloween!!

Thank you! I was actually thinking of the same TV clip this week! I hope you'll have a wonderful weekend.

I sure hope today is a little slower here, but even if it isn't, tomorrow is Saturday just the same. I think a little extra sleep will be in order. And I've scheduled next Friday off to do some audio work at home, so I can enjoy thinking about not being in the office next Friday at this time!

It was an overall productive night. The gym went well, laundry was complete by the end of the first quarter of the Packers game... Oh, and the Packers won! Finally, they looked to be playing well in the second half. Now, hopefully they can get a healthy defence in the next 11 days! My brother and dad picked another decent game to attend. Lucky them!

We're taking off for a short trip to the mountains today! Jacob is too old to hang out with the 'rents on the weekend, though, and he's staying behind. Time gets away from us too fast.

We've all gotten in the habit of watching a TV show together while we eat, and lately we've been watching the Flash on Netflix. It's a pretty good show, and it's time together. After the show, they retreat to homework or phones, so it's nice to have that time.

I've been preparing this year's iTunes Christmas music library. I won't say it's big, but ... it took nearly two hours to copy onto a thumb drive so I could take it to the office with me!

A beautiful Friday to you Festive. Catching up on all the MMC postings and here is a pic from the Zoo Boo "Cut n' Gut" we carve around 200 pumpkins for the Zoo.

Another day done, it was a long day with a headache that just would not quit.
I am up late again, watched the Bruins win a close game against New Jersey. I love it that hockey is back.
I picked up a Perry Como Christmas CD today for $5, I can't believe I never had one of his Christmas CD's before.
