Christmas Countdown - 2016

Merry Morning.

I woke up from a nightmare this morning. It was suddenly Halloween night and the kids had no costumes, there was no candy in and we hadn't carved any pumpkins! I was relieved when I woke up. lol !!! Next I will prob start having the Christmas one similar to this. lol

The city looked so wonderful yesterday with all the trees decorated for Halloween along the streets. When they come down they will be replaced with Christmas! A couple of shops have their front window displays all Christmas now! It made me smile walking past. Also our trees are up at work!! They are not lit yet though. They will be lit on the same day as the City's Grand Christmas lights switch.

I am looking forward to a Halloweek of fun with the kids.
Hard to believe we are in the last week of October ... we were only just welcoming it...

Top Of The Morning to all my MMC Friends:
This weekend was about one hour long or so it seemed. So much to do and the time was here and gone before I had a chance to even turn around. Luckily, I still have today off. I will spend part of it removing the lovely blanket of color that has spread across my lawn. Also a couple of errands to run. I think that I will BBQ for the wife and daughter tonight and perhaps some corn on the cob and baked potatoes.
My computer is back up and running. Now all that is left is to reload all the music. I hope that you all have a beautiful day filled with lasting memories that will warm your quiet moments.

Anybody started to decorate already? I mean outside decorations......I understand it takes some time to complete those great displays.......I wish I could have outside decorations.......but firstly.....I have no outlets outside...and secondly....our electricity is so expensive...I guess I´d pay half a fortune

Good Monday morning MMC! I feel so tired this morning. Went to bed at 8:30pm again but woke up around 2am and was not able to get back to sleep until about 4:00. No time for more sleep as I have Christmas party invitations to finish this morning for work later today. Looking forward to a day off tomorrow. Have a great day everyone!

Good Monday Morning MMC! Happy Halloweek. Hard to believe that it's 2 months till the best day of the year Christmas Eve! Doesn't seem possible. I feel like we're running out of weeks before the holidays. Had fun at my Uncle's last night. It was a good show and good food. Back to a full work week now and looking forward to Halloween weekend all week long. Nice morning here and hoping that it's a good week for all of you.

Good Monday Morning MMC!!!

I've been MIA for the last 2 weeks and I've missed you all. The girls and I have just been so busy with day to day and church activities that I don't know if I'm coming or going. And it doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon. Lizzybeth has candy-paloza at church where all the master club kids come dressed as their favorite sweet treat. Lizzybeth is going as a bag of Jelly Belly jelly beans. I've got to finish that tonight because I have a DATE tomorrow evening!!! That's right folks I've been asked out by a young man who I met on Match almost 3 weeks ago. Wish me luck.

This weekend is my friend Erin's wedding and after am service on Sunday our church is doing a trunk or treat that afternoon and we're participating in that of course. Not to mention Halloween itself on Monday.

slowly feeling a bit tired.

Christmas is pretty much planned out...I mean how we spend it.......not the presents and stuff....christmas eve at our place....christmas day 1 at probably my ma´s place....my bro and his fam will come in the late afternoon on christmas day 1 and stay over night....and we will all spend Christmas Day 2 together at my place. Day 2, I will prepare Turkey again....on Christmas Eve we will again just have potatoe salad and either Wiener Würstchen or meat loaf....I am so happy it will all start soon now

I remember in my first year here at MMC...which was 2008, this exact countdown had about 5 or 6000 posts....and we were all ecstatic about it!!!! I think in 10 years time we´ll be around 1.000.000 posts in the Christmas Countdown!!!!!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

We had a whirlwind trip to the mountains, and it was perfect! The weather was crisp, the leaves were orange and yellow and red, the decorations were awesome...it was just as good as I wanted it to be! We drove up Friday evening, and got home about 6pm yesterday, and it was SO worth it. LOL

We bought several pumpkins at the pumpkin patch. They were sorted by size ($1 for small, $2 for medium, and $4 for large!), and there was a lockbox for you to put your money in. The honor system! I love it!

Lulu enjoyed it, too!

Two months from today is my favorite day of the year! It's hard to believe that it's so close.

DH got into the Christmas spirit this weekend! We were at Home Depot to order new shutters for our house.....; We did that & bought a Christmas tree that has both multi & clear lights & a remote control, a train that attaches to the tree trunk and goes up and around the tree, two different kaleidoscope lights & a projector that has Halloween, Christmas & New Year scenes with sound on it. I told DH I was going to do Hallmark ornaments on the main tree this year and he said I can do multi-color lights with it. In 23 years, we've always done clear lights but I love multi!!

Oh my gosh. Sounds like a super great trip to Home Depot! I'll be hoping to see pictures! The tree sounds amazing. Happy Monday!

Merry Monday! My daughter's homecoming dance was fun and we survived the sleepover! I cannot believe in 2 months is Christmas Eve. I am going to put on some Christmas music to celebrate. Have a goo day!

GOOOOOOOOOD morning! Well, nearly afternoon! I'm preparing my house for a visitor next weekend (NYC at the end of next week, followed by my friend from London staying a week!) and part of the preparations include decorating prior to his visit... I leave the 3rd and am hoping to get everything going the 1st... can it be done???? Hmmm.. it'll be a tough one! My decorating generally takes a bit of time to complete! I am going to start on the washing of the linens, Christmas blankets, etc, this week! Eeek!!
