Good morning MMC! Merry Thanksgiving Eve!!! (Can you believe it???) So looking forward to 4 days off work, though they will be BUSY!
I got quite a bit of prep done last night for tomorrow. I went to the store...forgot to pick up iceberg lettuce!! I picked up the romaine, forgot the iceberg. Thankfully my friend was heading to the store, so she picked one up for me & she & her 2 girls delivered on their way home! What a deal! What would we do w/o friends?!

Greetings Holiday. Glad to hear that you not only have the next few days off, but that you seem to be well on your way to finding a few moments to relax tomorrow. It's great to have some friends that can help out in a pinch and thank you for your well wishes. Maybe some DayQuil will help... :D
I hope and pray that things go smoothly for you today and that Thanksgiving will be another cherished memory for you and your family to recall in the days (and Thanksgivings) ahead...

Good Morning, MMC!! Its going to be a rainy cold day here in central Indy. That's okay though, I'll be in the kitchen most of the day. My goal is to have everything but the sweet potatoes and Mac and cheese mixed up and ready to go in the oven tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy the parade instead of being stuck in the kitchen all morning. I hope everyone has a great Pines Day and Thanksgiving Eve!!
Happy Wednesday Made. Cool here as well and I am going to try to do the same so that all I have to do is turn of the appliances, slide in the food and set the timers. My goal is breakfast with Macy's, snack and start dinner with the Lions, consume way to much with the Cowboys, have dessert with the Colts and then moan my way through the night... lol
Enjoy your day, even the working part as it leads to something wonderful...

NFL Thanksgiving Trivia: The St. Louis Cardinals replaced the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving during the 1975 and 1977 seasons. Dallas has hosted in every other year since 1966.

Happy Thanksgiving eve all!!! We are finally at the moment when the rest of the world becomes as enthused and obsessed as us for that magical holiday Christmas!! I can now jam out to my holiday hits without those awkward glances I get in July and safely watch Silent Night, Deadly Night without being told it's not Christmas!! Amazing!!
Morning Frosty. The season and the first of many days to be thankful for are upon us. Most people that know me, also know that Christmas and I are inseparable. The music, the movies and even to some degree the decorations are all a part of my life. If not daily, then most certainly weekly.
Enjoy the day, the music, the sights and sounds of this magical season...

NFL Thanksgiving Trivia: Troy Aikman’s 455 passing yards vs. Minnesota in 1998 is most of any QB on Thanksgiving.

Thank you, CG! Praying you are able to sleep better tonight! You have an even greater day and better tomorrow. :)

Go Lions! :D
Thanks Meceka. I am a Vikings fans, but since the Lions are the only NFC team to never make it to a SuperBowl, it will not break my heart to see them win. So many great players through the years.

I will be away from home all day tomorrow, so I will say "Happy Thanksgiving" to everyone now. Have a great day today and tomorrow, and enjoy your dinners!
Morning MerryBells. I am sure that will be true for many of the MMC community. We may be gone briefly for the day, but always together at heart.
Enjoy this day and may the full blessings of Thanksgiving find their way into your home...

NFL Thanksgiving Trivia: Ernie Nevers holds the record for most touchdowns during a Thanksgiving game with 6 in 1929. The modern day mark is held by Sterling Sharpe who scored 4 TDs vs. Detroit in 1994.

Thank you CGY! Not sure about any relaxing moments tomorrow but I sure would like to enjoy a minute or 2, sipping coffee & watching the parade! xx We need to be at my in-laws by noon - I need to put together my "turkey" meat & cheese tray to bring there in the morning - & then we need to be back home before the 1st guests arrive! Run, Run, Run! I sure would like a couple hours free in the afternoon to watch Miracle On 34th Street! xx

I hope you get to enjoy your day just as you have planned, with plenty of good food/family/friends/parade/football. Love it!

Happy Thanksgiving MerryBells! Have a wonderful day!!

Happy Tuesday! I just got back from seeing my Dad at the hospital and he is still bleeding but his levels are remaining the same so he did not need a transfusion. Still no idea when he is getting out but at least he is not in any pain. Tonight we have my daughter's soccer banquet. I cannot believe Thanksgiving is only 2 days away! Hope you are all having a great day and will check in later!
Good morning SnowflakeMom. I am sorry to hear your Dad is still having problems, but glad to hear the pain has subsided. I hope the banquet went well and will pray that perhaps your Dad will be able to join you on Thanksgiving.
Have a wonderful Wednesday...

Thanks Holiday!

Snowflakemom- Continued prayers for your dad.
Thanks, Made!!

Merry Thanksgiving Eve...good news they are pretty sure that my Dad has stopped bleeding. They were going to let him out today but looks like it may be tomorrow morning so I am not sure if he will come to my house or not? He does have to go for an outpatient test next Thursday.
I am working today and I am going to run to the grocery store in a little bit. Then tonight I am going to stop down and see my Dad for a little while. Then tonight it will be prepping for tomorrow!
I hope you all have a blessed day!

Howdy Edge. I read your post... are you like excited or anything? ;) I have everything ready to rock and roll here with the exception of the French Silk Pie from Perkins. Going to pick that up here shortly. The it is time to get the sausage gravy ready for tomorrow and have all the stuff ready (including peeling spuds). Have a really great time buddy and enjoy one of your "Favorite" times of the year.

NFL Thanksgiving Trivia: The tradition of the Dallas Cowboys playing on Thanksgiving day began in 1966 when the Cowboys were still part of the AFL.

This one is especially for you...

Oh yeah I'm a little excited :). I think we all are. And I am enjoying your trivia. Told you before but first thing I did in April as always when the NFL schedules came out is to look at the Thanksgiving games. Just something so special about it.

Hope your dad gets to see you guys on Thanksgiving. That'd be a great treat!

Loaded mashed potatoes, cheesy green bean casserole, baked corn, cauliflower au.gratin, and roasted Brussels sprouts are all prepped and ready to go in the oven.

Macaroni salad and deviled eggs are made up and in the fridge.

Pumpkin pie, coconut cream pie, and dreamsicle fluff are all ready for dessert.

Just have to get the turkey and stuffing ready later tonight and I'll be ready.
