Good Sunday afternoon! I've been going non-stop since 8am this morning to finish preparations for tonight's work Christmas party. I thought I was feeling better when I woke up but I still am getting coughing fits and I am now out of energy. Time to go to the hairdresser and then dress-up and go to the hall to set things up. I'll be glad when this is done. We did not have time to decorate, disappointed about that. Hope everyone is enjoying a nice Sunday.

I've done all my cards except the international cards for the card exchange. I'll be getting to those by next weekend. Making progress!
Just got a break so the cards are now all done..although I have a sheet of Christmas stickers and of course they are missing/swallowed up..lol

Hello everyone! Well, I have a dilemma. The Christmas tree sellers that I've been buying my trees from for close to 20 years have lost the use of the place they normally set up, and now I have no idea where to get a tree! And they were such nice people, too. I've been looking around the neighborhood hoping that they found some other place to set up, but no such luck. Hopefully I find a tree lot before December 24th! I do have an artificial one in storage, but besides being darn hard to set up, I like the smell of a real tree. So everyone please cross your fingers and toes for me!

Good Sunday morning, Christmas friends!
What a busy few days we've had! We all left work a couple hours early on Wednesday (thanks!). Then we had Thanksgiving at mom's on Thursday. After lunch, mom,Nancy and Elizabeth dragged me shopping. Ugh! Walmart was a CRAZY PLACE, but I got the 55" TV. LOL! Where am I going to put that thing?!? At 8pm, Elizabeth and I went home, leaving mama & Nancy shopping. Nancy came home at 2am. Friday, we did Thanksgiving at Nancy's mom & dad's. Yesterday, I picked up pecans all morning, helping Elizabeth earn some Christmas money, then we bought & put up our tree! Whew!!
Today, we have church, then lunch at mom's.

We may have got in to a few shouting matches at Wal-Mart with people trying to cut in line or constantly hitting us with their carts thinking that would some how make the line move faster. We survived though.

Gingerbread house competition is this week, dropping houses off for judging on Wednesday and then back for awards on Thursday. Christmas in other countries is this years theme. Looking forward to seeing all the great works of edible art.

Working on the other side of Black Friday for many years, I would be so scared to go shopping at a BF sale with the things I have seen in person and video. You are definitely braver than I am. I hope you got what you went for.
Work Christmas party done. We had a record turn out (88 employees out of the 90 who had signed up) and it was a lot of fun and a real success. I'm just happy it's over though, it's so much preparations each year. I'm monitoring my cold, I get bad coughing fits after the smallest exertion. May be bronchitis, I don't know. I'm giving myself until Wednesday and if there's no improvement, I'll go to the clinic. Now some much needed rest. I work at 1pm tomorrow, hopefully I can relax. Good night everyone!
