It has been a busy week, friends. I'm ready to celebrate and enjoy the first weekend of December!
I'm teaching again today, but at Immaculata, which is only about five minutes from my house. I like the short drive. My first group of students were awesome. Here's hoping the next two are just as good! Being in an Art class can be both fun and challenging. We'll see how the afternoon goes.
I said I have been busy, right? Yesterday we had our first volleyball tournament of the season. The girls didn't win a game, but they did great! They played hard and showed plenty of perseverance. If anything, they will improve more than any other team we play against. It's going to be a fun year! Also, it is nice to get paid to coach volleyball, as all their games are played tournament style during the day!
This weekend is going to be exciting! We are having our annual Festive Sweater and Fondue Gift Exchange with 15 of our closest friends. I look forward to this every year. Perhaps it's for the gifts? Perhaps it's for the food? Perhaps it is for the good times? Combined, they are great... but I really think I enjoy playing the music trivia game I create every year. This year there will be six categories, two of which are Christmas themed, and the rest are fairly interesting. It's fun to see everyones face when they are completely stumped on a song. I think that may happen a couple times tomorrow night! It certainly makes the few hours I have spent creating, planning, and organizing the game all worth it!
As for tonight, I believe that Kim and I will take it easy. We watched Miracle on 34th Street last night... The Edmund Gwenn version. It was excellent. As per usual, I fell asleep with about 15 minutes left in the movie. Oops!
Well, friends, my day workday is half complete. I hope you're enjoying your day as well as I am. The weekend will arrive so soon! Until then, keep Christmas in your thoughts, and Merry Christmas!
