For a number of years I increased what I bought but I reached a point where I said it was enough. I buy pretty much the same amount each year now...which is still a lot.But about 1/3 more present buying ... That too is getting cut back next year .....
Thanks Crown! I'm amazed that we are halfway through the Christmas season but the best half is just beginning!** CHRISTMAS SEASON 2016 DAY 25 **
Good Morning, Folks.
Well, after today, the Christmas Season (November 13 through January 1) will be half way through.
(And I don't know whether I feel more sad or amazed at that fact.)
But regardless, the count goes onward to December 25:
Days to Christmas Day: 18 (Barely over 2 1/2 weeks left!)
Today is predicted to be the last nice day into the forseeable future, with our lows moving down toward the low-mid 20's and highs in the 40's starting tomorrow. (At least no frozen precipitation is forecast.)
This morning has dawned clear and cold, at 36 degrees here in central NC.
The 'Pines.
Oh, the 'Pines!
You have GOT to see it. All decked out in Christmas splendor the likes of which you have never seen before.
Red and green everywhere (including appropriately-colored fired twinkies). Christmas-themed movies airing in the 'Pines theater. Sumptuous meals. Seasonal entertainment. And of course, a visit from Santa himself. (Hmmm....... I wonder who will be portraying him?)
I hope to see each and every one of you you there with bells on. (Christmas bells, of course.)
Have a Wonderful Wednesday, all you Wonderful People

But about 1/3 more present buying ... That too is getting cut back next year .....

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day! What a morning!! All good, just busy!We have lots of sunshine today - might need to make a batch or 2 of peanut brittle at lunch & or before I head to the hospital after work! Sunny days have been so limited in the last week or more!
Last night at 10:30 I received an email from Taste of Home with a crock pot Beef Stew recipe. So I decided it's been awhile since I've actually made a meal (I'm always at the hospital from 5 until 7 or 8'ish the last 11 nights since mom went in = no cooking) - anyway I think it will be awesome to walk in the house after being at the hospital & smelling that awesome smell!Even though I was up late prepping!
I have never made beef stew before!
I have made pot roast plenty of times, but never actually "beef stew" I'm excited - it looked good!![]()
Anyway, everyone have a great day!!!! See you tonight for the FIRST PINES OF DECEMBER!!

Thanks Martine! This is exactly the reason they rushed him to Columbus. One minute he was fine but with that clot, better safe than sorry! I'm glad everything turned out ok for you. How scary!Oh my, sending good thoughts your cousin's way. Some years back I suffered a pulmonary embolism when a blood clot that formed in my leg (I didn't know I had one) travelled all the way up. One minute I was doing the dishes with David and the next I fell unconscious. Hoping for the best of care for your cousin to make a full recovery.
Sorry to hear about your cousin, Holiday~
Many Prayers!
Xx
Praying very hard, Holiday <3
What a sweet guy.
{{{Hugs}}}
I'm so sorry to hear this. Prayers!
I will be praying for your cousin and your mom as well. Sending hugs <3
Happy Tuesday! Praying they both can come home soon!
Thank you! She's so excited I have to make sure I remember to move it every night.
Praying that all works out for your cousin!
Hello everyone. That bronchitis and ear infection kicked my tail! I'm back at work this week but still feel exhausted.
I hope everyone is well. Have a great night!
Praying you are feeling better & better every day Ryan!! xxI'm behind on posts. But, I'm praying for you all. Looks like some stuff is going on. Thinking of you, friends.
Love it HMG!! So, so pretty!!!Not finished but I'm getting there. I cropped the picture because I still need to cover the front of the table!

Good morning! Christmas is on approx. 18 hours a day at our house right now. LOL Gracie watches while we are at work!Happy Pines Day in December! Our December days continue to roll forward. Enjoy every one of them. I put on a Christmas show last night and will do the same tonight. Just have to keep putting them on every day even if I'm busy doing something it's nice to have on and watch while I'm doing it. Nothing too special today except the IT guy at work is supposed to show us something at lunch time so they are buying us pizza. Not too bad...
Have a good one!
