Good morning MMC...hope you are all having a good morning. The kids have a 2hr delay so they are still sleeping. They are saying more snow tomorrow and Wednesday...possibly an additional 6 inches..who knows but the bitter cold is coming. I can't stand those temps so hopefully they won't stick around too long. Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Cold, overcast & yucky this morning, with more cold on the way for tomorrow. Blech. But I saved a bunch of money by switching my car insurance to Geico! No, not really.

@Snowflake, I'm sorry to hear that Harlowe hasn't improved much this morning. I'm still praying for y'all, and I'm sure that love and attention from her mommy is making her feel better. How did you come up with the name Harlowe, anyway?

She is taking baby steps, ate a little, and wagged her tail when my friend came over to drop off some food. She still is shaking some, not sure if it's because she is still weak.
My fingers are crossed for more improvement.
Adi and I couldn't agree on a name, among his ideas were Wookie, or D.O.G. (I'm sure you like those And I mentioned a few, and then Harlow-e (with an e because my name is spelled with an e) because I always thought Jean Harlow had a beautiful smile. And he loved it-we finally could agree!

snowflake22 hoping for the antibiotics to kick in and for little Harlowe to get her energy back. At least she is drinking, hydration is really important. Take care of yourself as well.

Something is upsetting her system, and we're pretty sure it's not the antibiotics-maybe the heart meds (Vetmedin) or diuretic (Fluosemide). But until she's stronger, the vet just wants her eating regularly and she said she'd check on her in a few days and then decide what meds are the best for her, and how to get her to take them.

That's true SnowflakeMom, the doctors are NOT always right. I learned that the hard way. I will definitely be going for second opinions in the future. And most importantly, going with my gut instinct.

I don't think I mentioned this because this last week has been so overwhelming.
But, Har's regular vet was to do the dental surgery. She didn't diagnose Har with the murmur, another vet did a few months ago when ours was out of the office for awhile-I believe I mentioned it here. The vet who diagnosed her told me there was nothing you could do until she started showing symptoms, and that you could take x-rays but there's not preventative meds, just meds once the heart failure begins. Well, that vet "forgot" to put her diagnosis in Harlowe's chart! My regular vet had no idea. Thank God she heard it while performing her exam prior to surgery. When she called me, she told me herself what she found. Had she not heard it, she could've performed the surgery with the shape her lungs and heart are in...

The vet she saw yesterday while my vet was off, was good. I will insist on her if Har's regular vet is unavailable.

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday! Not much going on here today! It is lightly snowing now. That makes me happy! Last night I finished crocheting a border around 2 fleece blankets for my sister, so I'll deliver that today either at lunch or right after work. I'm sure she will be surprised b/c she gave the 1 blanket to me almost a year ago to crochet a border around...I'm sure she has forgotten about it! Oops!
I will have to come up with something yummy for supper since it's Fat Tuesday & all...

Ohhhhhhhh ... I just got homesick.
In the county where I grew up, today is Kinkling Day. Unless you grew up there, you have probably never heard of kinklings! They're distant cousins of fastnachts, I guess, because there's a good deal of German heritage there. They taste like fluffy powdered donuts, and I haven't had any for decades ...

Thanks snowflake!! It has snowed off & on all day, but not enough to even cover the grass. But I'm still enjoying it. I just lit my pine candle!
I didn't get ahold of my sister today. I sent her a text & she didn't respond ( which is unusual, especially if she's at work) & I drove by her work & didn't see her car. Tuesday is her normal day off but she was on vaca all last week so I wasn't sure if she was working today...but doesn't appear she was. It was too cold & windy to try to track her down. I'll try again tomorrow!

Good morning everyone, Happy Tuesday!
I'm being lazy this morning. I have to get moving soon. I just ordered the cutest Yorkie salt and pepper shaker set off of eBay. They're so cute, can't wait to receive it. Typical day here. I have a couple of errands to run and I'll be working on my daily chores. I need to pick up some more ice melt as well, I've been going through so much. We're expecting more snow tonight, I hope the morning commute won't be too messy.
That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers ♥

Already two strikes on the day: I'm badly missing my kinklings; and my dental insurance won't cover a penny of some work that I can't put off---that'll be nearly $4K out of pocket. It's a long story, but if I could get my hands on the dentist who years and years ago botched a root canal that caused me to lose that tooth last year to infection ...

Time to think of something else and turn this bad attitude around.
