Good morning!
Have a meeting this afternoon, and I'm not looking forward to it...
Gonna be so relieved when its done!

We have been "invaded" by american soldiers this last month
(soldiers from all over the world actually, but most Americans)
They are here for the military exercise called Cold Response

Military vehicles on the road and military choppers flying over our house many times a day
But its fun to watch the big choppers...

And the US Marine landed with the biggest aircraft they have here a month ago
(Lockheed C-5 Galaxy) Its pretty cool actually...

Weekend is near!!! ❤️

Those big C-5's have one of their home bases right here in western Massachusetts at Westover Air Force Base. They are HUGE!!!! You can fit 6 Greyhound buses inside them. Watching them fly over head is awe inspiring.

Thank you, M~
Harlowe & I had a little better of a night. She was still very restless, but hasn't been on any med for the past few days (aside from probiotic) so we only had to take her out once. We start the Vetmedin today, so hopefully she'll take it okay and not have any side effects. I pray it helps her restlessness, too.
Hope you have a Merry day, too!
xx
I hope Har is doing better tonight.

feeling a bit better today...sign the new lease and get the keys today. It is late because the place was so trashed and filthy it took the longer than expected to get it cleaned up and liveable again. I love that I have all new flooring, freesh paint and new appliances ! Main move in is on Saturday.
Have a great day all !

Enjoy your new place!!!!

If it's a movie that you really, really love, go for it. You will see even sharper details in the Blu-ray.
"Gremlins" is one of my deserted island discs. The question is do I go for the 30th Anniversary Diamond Luxe edition, or the blu ray with Gremlins, Gremlins 2, and The Goonies in one set.... decisions, decisions.

I can't resist M&Ms myself....
I am a huge M&M's fan October through Valentine's day. Then I switch to jelly beans in the spring. We have 3 different bags of JB's right now. Starburst, Sweet Tarts, and Gimbal's.

I am thinking I will need to upgrade my Christmas movies at the very least. I really want to see if Scut Farkus has yellow eyes...
I remember seeing that on VHS and being unable to read the end credits ... then watching the DVD, where they were plain as day. Haven't seen it on Blu-ray, though!

Blu-ray is a mixed blessing. Sometimes you can see details that were meant to go unnoticed in the theatrical release, because a Blu-ray will sometimes be sharper than the projected 35mm print was. Occasionally something (e.g., a bit of a boom mic) that wouldn't be visible in theatrical projection is visible in Blu-ray because the frame edges aren't masked by a projector gate.

I did notice how much more the mogwai looked more like stuffed animals than a "living thing." That was just on the DVD in the bluray player.

This is how Gracie likes to look :p :D

Too cute!
I am watching "Gremlins" DVD on the TV right now playing it through the Blu-ray player. It is like I am watching "Gremlins" for the first time I have seen things I have never seen before. I am wondering if I should upgrade to the blu-ray version or not. WOW!!!!
If you can, go for both Gremlins movies and Goonies, they're classics in my book. Goonies was the first movie I ever watched in English, still one of my all-time favourites.

Good evening,

Just a pretty relaxing day here, watched of course, Gremlins, and then The Love Bug, both looked incredible. I also made a sirloin spoon roast, mashed potatoes and so on for dinner. We invited a family friend over to enjoy dinner with us. It was quite tasty, and we have plenty of leftovers. Our friend also picked up a Santa Claus for my collection, I was completely floored.
One more day off, I have an eye exam tomorrow, my glasses broke a few weeks ago and I need to get a new pair and it has been about 4 years since my last exam.
I hope you all had an enjoyable Thursday.

Goodnight, everyone
