Christmas Countdown - 2016

[Holiday]

It was an amazing gesture, she is such a thoughtful person. She is a woman that taught with my wife, and she retired a few years ago. She treats our boys like they're her grandchildren, and my wife like her own daughter. She never got married or had children of her own. We invite her over for a lot of holiday dinners, and dinners whenever. I was shocked, still am.

I'm going to sign off now so that when it's time to get outa here, I can bolt out the door! LOL! Need to get some things together to bring to Moms & I need to be there in about an hour so Emma can go home. Thinking about making some chicken noodle soup this afternoon while she naps!

Good Morning my favourite fellow Christmas lovers !
Internet will be moved to new place sometime this morning, but we do not move over there till tomorrow so thought I better pop in here quick before that happens.
I am feeling better but my son is sick now. My girls are coming over today to help with stuff. The new place is still not liveable so I think most of the day will be spent there cleaning and scrubbing the cupboards and windows and bathroom. I just cannot imagine that people can live in such filth. at least most of place is done with fresh paint, new floors, furnace and ducts clean. Movers coming tomorrow and while I had hopped to have boxes moved over it looks like that will not happen.
I am tired just thinking of everything that needs doing ! Will be so glad when this is all done.
PS...Christmas tree is going to look great in the front window !

Good luck with the move, I hope your son feels better.
When we were looking for a house, that was one of the first things I tried to figure out. Where the tree was going to go.

Merry Friday everyone! I just got a call from my best friend that her dog, Kiefer passed away. He was 13 (flat coated retriever) and she said he was fine when her and husband went to bed. She said she came downstairs and he was laying on his dog bed, she thought he was sleeping but he was already gone. I felt so bad....such a terrible feeling to lose a furkid. I was just over there last week when my oldest daughter was helping her son with a project. I was sitting on the couch and Keifer jumped right up. Even though he was 13 he was so active and had so much energy. I told her we would come over tomorrow night for dinner and have a glass of wine. She hasn't told her kids yet but I know her youngest will be so sad..he is such a dog lover like his Mom. I told her it just takes time to get over it and he will always be with her.

I am sorry to hear that your friends dog passed, it is always so tough when you lose a furkid.

Good morning MMC! Happy, Happy Friday! Stopping in to say hello - I may or may not have time to catch up this morning. Lots to do before noon....then I'll be off to Moms for the next 24-26 hrs. I might take her to our house for a change of scenery for awhile. We'll see!

I'll add to the list of car troubles going around. The fuel pump went out on my truck so we have been using moms car. Well it started leaking antifreeze and overheating. The problem is though, her hood is jammed and I can't get it open to figure out where it's leaking and to add more. I've been trying for weeks now. My cousin is supposed to stop by this weekend and see if he can help. He works at a body shop so he's used to dealing with this.

I hope you can get the hood open and get the problem fixed on both vehicles.

I already did errands this morning, made a stop at Goodwill and picked up a Christmas book and a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, Only paid $2 for the tree, I have wanted one for a while now, just never wanted to pay $20 for it. So it was a good stop.
I really see how work gets in the way of my MMC time, I can get use to being here in the morning again and visiting like I use to.
I have my exam later this afternoon, I hope you all enjoy this beautiful Friday. I'll be around.

School got cancelled due to the weather. This is an extremely RARE occurrence here! It's been snowing all morning and we have a coating but it's that sort of slushy snow mixed with rain.
Our winters always seem to begin in March.

I was looking forward to a little down time with the start of my nice long weekend but as my gremlins are home today those plans are out the window

Sorry for your friends loss, SnowflakeMom, I was talking to my step-father the other night and he told me that my dog, (who is living with him because I cannot have him at the place I rent. I had him when I was married and I got him in the divorce) is peeing all over the place. Joe is 13 on Sunday. He is starting to go blind and deaf and with this happening, it's time to have that tough discussion about sending him on. If his quality of life is going down, I feel that it's only fair to Joe to have him go before he really starts suffering even though my heart breaks over it. My daughter (who turns 14 on Wednesday) is going to handle this the worst. She doesn't handle this really well, especially when she lost her grandmother, my mom, last June. Not a decision I'm looking forward too, but I feel it's only fair to Joe to make the right one. Oy vey.

Thanks Sean. Sorry sorry that Joe is not doing well...such a hard choice to make. When we lost our Max, he was 12 and had cancer. I felt terrible about it but I think it makes you feel even worse when your kids are sad. It is tough for everyone that is for sure...

Thanks Holiday, feeling better now. We had a rough night, I ended up on the couch with Maggie. She was coughing a lot and I felt bad for my husband. The little stinker was quiet once we laid down on the couch so that's where we stayed.
