Merry Wednesday! Happy Pines Day!
What a morning!!! Funny story ... and it's okay to laugh so go ahead.
Early this morning some random guy turns up with a chainsaw about to cut down the tree in my front garden. The one that houses the Christmas robin that visits every year. I was dumbstruck as to what was happening at first. I ran out into the rain, still in my pajamas and fell over into the garden which is a muddy pool these days due to the heavy rains. The guy informed me that he was here to cut the tree down on the request of the owner who claims it is on their property.
After much arguing and me throwing myself in front of the tree (wet,covered in mud, twigs in hair) the guy makes a phone call only to discover he has the WRONG tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is meant o be doing the neighbour's tree two houses away!
He seemed scared at that point and made a very quick exit.
Can you imagine!!!!!!!!!!! I shudder to think what could have happened! I would have been devastated!!
Here is a photo of the robin. It's not a very clear shot but hopefully you can see him. He spends ages near the window looking in at us. He comes every year around mid autumn. He has become one of our signs that Christmas is coming.

Girl believe me it was a sight! I think I will probably be known as the crazy tree lady from now on by the neighbour kids
Thank goodness I was at home! What a crazy mistake to make!!!!!!!!He is a beautiful bird, I will have to take some more photos of him while he is around.

We have snow coming this afternoon, and it sounds like it could continue through Saturday.
My car appointment went extremely well last night! They didn't hear the noise I've been hearing, and they checked my brakes thoroughly. They're still looking decent, so they gave me a complimentary car wash, and sent me on my way. No charge on the diagnostics, either. Luck was actually on my side last night =]

Adrian took it for a spin after I got home, and he couldn't hear it any longer, either.
They thought maybe a small rock or some debris might have gotten jammed up near the pads initially, causing the noise.
I'm hoping it's light & beautiful, not causing too much trouble on the roads.
Adi will be traveling some, so I always worry about him.

Off to work. Husband's car is going to be finished at the shop today--about a $380 repair, which isn't really that bad for us since we saved like crazy last year--and considering what it could have been. So, that's a blessing. It's a chilly 17 degrees here this morning though! Yikes!
